Chapter 9

Paisley can't believe that Danté ended their special night by asking about Terius of all people. His suspicions are getting the better of him.

She wakes up and gets ready for work as usual. She goes to the bathroom and takes a quick shower. She walks into the bedroom and sees that Danté is up.

He is on his phone texting someone. She ignores him and goes to the closet to get dressed. When she's done she goes to the dining room to eat her breakfast.

She sees Cody and Sophia approach the room. They sit down and greet her. About ten minutes later Danté arrives and greets everyone. They all eat and Paisley is the first one to finish.

She gets up and tells everyone that she has to go to work. She goes upstairs and gets her bags. She walks out of the door and goes to her car. She drives to the hospital.

She signs in and goes to her office. When she opens the door guess who she finds sitting in her chair? The one and only Terius. "What are you doing here?" "Morning. I wanted to talk to you about last night." He says nervously.

She sighs and says,"I have a patient coming in about 5 minutes. So..." He nods and gets up from her chair. He goes to the door and opens it. "I'll see you at lunch." With that he walks out. "Why does it have to be like this?" She asks no one. She takes a seat and her day starts.

When lunch finally comes Paisley decides to eat in her office. She hears her door open as she takes a bite out of her sandwich. She locks eyes with Terius.

"Hey. I was wondering if we could talk?" She nods and he sits down. "I'm so sorry about what you had to see that night." He starts. She looks at him and says nothing. He takes this as a sign to continue.

"It was totally inappropriate." "Yeah. Very inappropriate." She says. "I mean having sex on a wooden desk must be uncomfortable." Terius nods and his cheeks turn red.

"I have to go I have a patient coming soon." He nods and she stands up and goes back to her office. The rest of the day goes on without a hiccup. Paisley packs up and gets ready to leave when Terius comes into her office.

What does he want now? She thinks to herself. She looks at him waiting for him to say something. "Can we meet up tomorrow for lunch at the Tasty café?" She nods and walks out of the office but stops and says,"I'll text the time." With that she walks out.

She goes to her car and gets in but not before she notices that someone is watching her. She looks around the parking lot and sees a man looking straight at her.

She can barely see the features of his face since the lighting outside is not so good but she can that he is looking at her. She turns around and gets into her car. She turns on the ignition and steps on the accelerator.

She drives home. She walks into the house and is immediately met with a intoxicating smell. She goes to the kitchen and sees Danté and Cody slaving away. "Hi. What are you guys cooking?" She asks.

"You will find out when it's ready." Danté answers her. She nods and goes upstairs to get into something more comfortable. She goes downstairs to the dining room and sees that the food is ready.

She sits down sends a text to Terius since no one has arrived to eat yet.
Paisley ~ Hi. I think we should meet up around 12?

Terius ~ Hey. Yeah 12 is fine by me.

Paisley ~ Ok. See you tomorrow.

Terius ~ See you tomorrow.

She puts her phone on the table as Sophia walks in. She smiles at Paisley and asks her, "Hi. How was your day?" "Hi. It was uneventful. Yours?" "Same here. I thought I would get some action,romance but nothing."
