I stood there, my heart was beating out of my chest. I barley got it out, but I managed to say, "Yes."
He stood up and put the ring on my finger, and hugged me.
I pulled away and looked at him, we were both tearing up.
"Baby, are you crying?" I asked, slightly laughing.
He laughed, "I guess I am, I can't help it, we're finally going to be a family."
.
We walked home, both grinning. After we got in, we called both sides of our families and announced the news. My mom cried, and my dad seemed a bit uneasy, after the whole Taye situation, but regardless, he was happy. After telling everyone, James took a picture of my ring, and then one of him kissing my cheek, and captioned it:
"Isn't my fiancee beautiful?"
Both of our phones exploded with "congrats" messages.
.
We both sat around the house for the rest of the night. I really enjoyed the days where we could just cuddle and talk to each other. Every few minutes James would kiss the top of my head, and gently squeeze me. After a while of this, I turned to James.
"When do you want to tell the kids?"
"Hmm, maybe the next time they are both here."
"Do you think Walker will understand?" I asked.
"Well, he might be kinda confused at first."
"I feel like I let him down, you know?"
James leaned over and kissed the top of my head.
"You didn't let him down. You're such a great mom to him."
"Thank you, James."
"No problem sweetheart."
"Sweetheart, huh? You've really softened up the past two years." I said, teasing him.
"I have not!" He exclaimed,"I just, uh-"
I laughed at him and he put his arm around me.A/N: Happy Thanksgiving! Did y'all see Idina in the parade? She was so cute! 😍
