I sipped my tea, and looked at the clock. 2:34 am, at least I have a day off tomorrow. I thought about texting him, to see if he was awake. I can't believe I'm still thinking about him. He is a jerk, I can't let him in my life again. I started thinking about what made me leave, why I didn't stay with him. All I remember from after the...event is waking up in my apartment. Did he drive me? I wondered. I decided to text him.
I: I hope you realize what you're doing to me.
J: You left me quite aroused today as well. ;)
I: Not that kind of impact! We need to talk.
J: I'm an open book.
I: Look, just come to my apartment, please.
J: Sent me the address and I'll be there.
Was I really asking him to come over? I reluctantly typed in my address, and sure enough he was there within 10 minutes.
"Couldn't stay away could you?" James asked with a smirk.
"Can you be nice for once?"
"Only if you return the favor."
"We need to talk, about us."
"What's there to talk about? I chase after you, you run away." He said, looking down.
Was he upset?
"Look, I know we were kind of a thing in the past, but we can't be now." I stated.
"But why?"
"Well, because we-" I trailed off.
"We can't even try to make this work?" He said, now looking deep into my eyes.
"James, not now. I mean I only knew you for a week, and now you're back and-"
"What do I have to do? You know I never forgot about you. You are the first woman who ever broke my heart. I woke up that morning and you were gone, forever. I thought I would never see you again, so when I saw you at that first rehearsal, I just, fell for you all over again." He said, now blushing a bit.
I can't believe I'm gonna do this.
"One date." I said blankly.
"What?"
"I'll go on a date with you."
"Really? Are you just messing with me?"
"No, you can pick when or where." I said, sitting down.
"Now." He said, sitting next to me.
"It's almost 3:00 am." I said.
"I know a great spot, we can watch the sunrise. Please? I've been saving that spot for someone special." He said, gently brushing his hand against mine.
"Okay." Is all I said.
"You might wanna change," he said, looking at my sweats, "not that you don't look beautiful, but it's about 30 degrees out there." He added.
I got up to go change, and in the corner of my eye I saw him do a fist pump into the air and smile. He really hasn't changed.
I put on a pair of skinny jeans and an oversized sweatshirt. I took my hair out of it's usual bun and let it rest around my shoulders. Here we go.
We drove for about 30 minutes, and James parked in front of a park. It looked old, and there were lots of trees, but It looked perfect. James grabbed some blankets and led me to the spot. It was an area in between the trees, and you had a clear view of the sky. James laid the blankets out and sat down, motioning me to sit with him.
"You know, this isn't like you." I said, my head on his shoulder.
"Sure it is, I just don't let many people see me get all mushy. I have an image to protect." He said cooly.
"Oh yeah?" I said, smirking.
"Of course, I'm known for my rebellious attitude and striking good looks." He said, half joking. "Actually I'm not that rebellious, I just wanted to sound cool." He admitted.
I laughed, and he looked at me and smiled.
"Hey, thats the first time I've seen you laugh, in a while." He said.
Was I really starting to like him again?
We sat, and when the sun rose, James leaned in and whispered to me, "You know my grandma always told me that sunrises are for watching with someone special."
"You know, I think I might be falling for you all over again, Snyder." I admitted.
I could see him beaming, and he leaned in and kissed my cheek.
"Good, because I don't want to lose you this time."
A/N: well hello! I'm not entirely sure how much I like this fic! But I have decided that my OTHER Jadina fanfic, Mine, WILL eventually continue. When I say eventually, I really mean probably a week or so! Thank you all for reading ❤️
