The next day, I woke up to my same alarm. Groaning, I dragged myself out of bed and into the shower. I warmed up my voice, and blow dried my hair. Today was another day of rehearsals, but maybe it wouldn't be so bad, since I don't completely despise James. I dressed in my usual white t-shirt, gray cardigan, and my faded jeans. I put my hair up in it's usual bun, and I was out the door.

As I walked into the theatre, Jenn and LaChanze greeted me and I took my seat. James was the next to walk in. He sleepily smiled at me and sat in his seat, which was next to mine. He gently nudged me and motioned to my phone. I checked it, to reveal a

message from him.

J: I'm not complaining, but your shirt is a bit see through. ;)

Shit. I look down, to reveal that he is right. I quickly buttoned up my cardigan, thankful I had it with me.

I: Thanks for telling me

J: I almost wish I wouldn't have, it was pretty hot, but hey I can be a good person.

I shot him a look, and he smirked in response.

J: How about a second date? My place?

I: Hmm, I'll think about it.

That was a lie, I didn't even need to think about it. I wanted to say yes immediately but I didn't want to come on too strong.

Later on in the rehearsal, James and I were working privately, on a certain song called "Here I Go". I liked it, and James was an amazing singer. He sang like he meant every word, he was a totally different person. I could listen to him sing all day, but sadly the rehearsal ended early. James walked up to me and placed his hands on my lower back.

"How about that date?" He asked.

"Okay, what time should I be there."

"7:00?" He asked.

It was 5:34 now.

"I'll see you then." I shyly said.

I walked out of the theatre, and practically ran home. I needed time to get ready. I wasn't sure what to wear, I didn't want to over do it.

I picked out a flowy, long sleeved red shirt, and a darker pair of skinny jeans. I curled my hair, and applied a red lipstick. I gave myself a look, and slipped on my shoes. I looked at the time and it read 6:30. I then realized I didn't know James address, and almost on que to my thoughts, I got a text saying his address.

I: I'm on my way!

J: I'll be waiting.

I reached his apartment door and knocked nervously. Am I really getting butterflies over him?

"Hello, you're looking beautiful." He said, his eyes sparkling.

I blushed a bit.

"Well, come on in. I know I'm not the best at keeping this place clean, but I tried to make it look nice." He said, while shoving some books under a couch.

I sat down on his couch and he sat with me.

"So Mr. Snyder, what exactly are your intensions for the night?" I asked in a mock-serious tone.

"Well I didn't know that Ms. Menzel would look so beautiful, so I was going to order pizza and watch movies, but you look very nice, and I feel like I should do more than that." He said, laughing a bit.

"That sounds perfect actually."

"Good, because I already ordered the pizza and spent like $10.00 at redbox."

"You know, you aren't what I expected."

"What do you mean?"

"I never pictured you being a romantic."

"Well, it depends on who I'm with." He said.

We sat there in an awkward silence for a bit.

"You look amazing." James said, looking me up and down.

"Well, I'm not 27 anymore. I've definitely aged." I said.

"You don't look like it." He said, his pupils widening a bit.

"Oh you're just saying that."

"Now, there is one thing that I do not do, and that is lie. I never lie to anyone." He said, shrugging his shoulders.

We had a great night. We cuddled on the couch and watched about 3 movies, and I didn't realize how late it had gotten.

"Wow, it's 12:30. I should probably go." I said, getting up from the couch."

"Want me to drive you? I don't want you walking alone." He said, sitting up.

"Sure, thank you."

When we reached my apartment complex, he walked me to my door.

"Thank you, for a wonderful night." I said, leaning against the door.

"Anytime." He said, with a wink.

I unlocked my door, and turned to him.

He just looked at me for a few seconds.

"What?" I asked.

"Can I kiss you?" He asked, leaning in a bit.

"Yes." I said, closing my eyes.

He pressed his lips on mine. I melted into the kiss, and he gently bit my lip. He broke the kiss, and told me goodnight.

I walked into my apartment, only to quickly run back out and grab his hand.

"Can you stay?" I asked.

"Pardon?" He asked, probably confused as to why I was the one wanting him to stay.

"I just, want you here tonight."

He grabbed my hand and we walked into my apartment.

"I don't have any pajamas, so do you mind if I just-"

"As long as the boxers stay on." I replied.

I went to go change into my long, gray sweat pants, and I slipped on an old Wicked T-shirt. I went to take my makeup off, and I caught a glimpse of James.

Damn he is hot.

I tied my hair up and reappeared in the living room. I walked up and hugged him.

"Thank you for staying." I meekly said.

"No problem."

I laid on the couch with him, and he played with my hair. Every once and a while he would squeeze my hand, or kiss my cheek.

I've definitely fell for him.
