Sending Trin with Zach turned out to have been a great move. She didn't seem as uncomfortable to spend time with us two now, and I tried to always keep the PDA to a minimum for her sake. Well, at least when I and Zach weren't alone.
It was Friday now and Zach had taken me ice-skating. I thought I was mediocre at best but turns out Zach was even worse.
"Then we're going to make gingerbread cookies," I explained and showed him how to do it. You brought your legs out and then in, creating two wavy patterns behind you.
"You know, I expected to spend time with my girlfriend and not with a personal ice-skating expert."
"Think I'm an expert?" I smirked and glided in front of him, taking both of his hands in mine.
"My expert," he clarified and let my hands go so that he could haul me into his arms. I chuckled as he almost tripped in the process.
"Yes, I guess you could say you have exclusivity. For now at least." I winked and his smile was replaced by a frown.
"Don't put it like that, it sounds like I'm going to loose you." He made puppy-eyes and i put my mitten covered hands on his cheeks.
"Sorry," I said and inched closer.
"Sorry ain't going to cut it." His warm breath fanned on my face
"Is that so?" I tilted my head up and brushed my lips against his. Brief and sweet, as it's ought to be sometimes. "Feeling better now?"
"Well my ass still hurts quite a bit."
"Well I think a soft pillow and some rest will take care of that one."
"No kiss?"
I only laughed at his silly expression and pushed him away. The problem was that I forgot how shaky he was on the skates. He went down with an 'oomph' and I tried to prevent it, only to get dragged down myself.
"We sure do seem to end up tangled on the ground together wherever we go," he pointed out cheekily.
"It seems to have become a habit of ours," I smiled.

"I'm really sorry Marge," I said with a raspy voice. I had ended up getting a cold from my ice-skating date with Zach. I laid on my bed with three warm blankets on.
"Oh don't you worry, you stay home and rest," Marge answered on the other end of the line. "Just inform me early enough if you can't make it to your shifts next week."
"Will do. And thanks again."
"No worries."
I hung up and closed my eyes for a moment. My nose was runny and my throat sore, but luckliy i hadn't yet gotten a headache. I had informed Marge about not coming to work, but I still felt as if I was forgetting something. Homework? No, I shouldn't have any deadlines coming up and I could do my assignments tomorrow. I opened my eyes and looked at my ceiling. The sloppily painted blue stars looked back at me.
Blue stars.
Lucas.
You'll have to come get your hoodie some other time
I laid back, not expecting him to respond right away. I was proven wrong when my phone buzzed only a seconds later.
Are you avoiding me?
