New Hedgehog in Town

The 8th Chaos Emerald

Outside Eggman’s base, Sonic, Soni, Tails, and Knuckles were planning their entry. “Knuckles, you can distract the security and break down the doors for us to get through,” started Sonic. “Soni, can you shut down the alarms and maybe a few robots to go along with it?”

“Easy.”

“Good. Tails and I can go destroy robots along the way to the extraction chamber where Eggman is more likely to hold her. Soni, you and Knuckles can catch up as soon as you can. Everyone good with the plan?”

“Crystal clear,” said Soni and Tails together.

“What do I have to open the door?” asked Knuckles.

“You have the knuckles and the power. Soni has the technician destroying power and Tails and I have the speed. Duh,” said Sonic as if it was obvious. Knuckles started pounting put didn’t object. They started towards the base, seeing the security alarm instantly go off until Soni went to the power box on the side and pulled out all wires, causing all lights to turn off and alarms to shut down. Knuckles had already bashed down the door with Sonic and Tails going down the hall, destroying robots along the way.

(20 minutes before)

Eggman had the robots take Anna to the extraction chamber where he’d be able to drain all of Anna’s powers along with the Chaos Emerald energy within her. He planned to disregard her body afterwards, knowing she wouldn’t be able to survive the process with all of that energy inside her. Such a pity to waste so much beauty, but he only cared for the energy.

In the extraction chamber, there was a sort of examination table, one you would see the Frankenstein Monster attached to, along with needles and other tools. Anna tried, for the sixth time, to get out of the robot’s grasp, but they had a firm grip on her. They were able to get her on the table, but couldn’t strap her down. She was using her telekinetic powers to hold the straps down at the side.

“Stop this, Girl! I don’t want to have to cause more pain than there needs to be.”

“Exactly my point. I know what you plan, and I do not wish for it to happen.”

“It’ll happen either way.” He hit her with a pole in the back of the head, causing her to gasp before going unconscious and they were able to strap her down. “Now we may begin.” He first scanned her body for what might be useful. He saw the wings and the telekinetic energy that was implanted in her brain, and also saw what made her skin heal so fast. Nanomites that were uncontrollable from the outside, were already working hard on the wound on the back of her head. Within minutes she would awaken again.

When he saw her eyes flutter, he quickly tied a cloth around her mouth to keep her from shouting. If she was distracted enough, she wouldn’t be able to use her telekinetic abilities. He then searched for the chaos energy and found it deep inside her heart. There was enough energy that could only come from a Chaos Emerald that has lost all of its energy and was moved into this girl. But all 7 Chaos Emeralds still had their energy so where did it come from? Legend says that there were a whole bunch of chaos emeralds that soon led to only 7. The rest were destroyed. Or so they think. Apparently there was an 8th emerald that was kept secret then the energy was transmitted into Anna.

She was soon awake, and trying very dearly to break free of the bindings that held her down. Eggman could see the fear in her eyes, perhaps getting flashbacks or not sure of what was going to happen, but he couldn’t wait any longer. He would deal with her powers first before going after the Chaos Emerald energy. He was about to turn on a laser that would have cut into her back and release the wings to be clipped off, until the security alarm went off. A screen on the corner turned on to show 4 characters breaking in. One of them had pulled out the wires, causing the screen to go blank.

“That Hedgehog never gives up does he?” Anna recognized Soni tearing at the wires and Sonic standing in the corner, waiting for the door to be opened by Knuckles. She smiled, glad that they had finally come, but it wasn’t over yet. The power had gone out, leaving Eggman to have to cut open Anna’s back himself. He grabbed a scalpel and got behind the table where there was a hole in the back right where it needed to be. He then dug the scalpel into her skin, causing her to scream out but be muffled  by the gag in her mouth.

Tears slid down her face as Eggman continued cutting, seeing the skin grow back faster than expected, only to see it stop and the wings start to come out. Anna screamed more as the wings pierced the skin that wasn’t already cut open until the wings were set free through the hole. She was breathing deeply and looking at the feathered objects, still trying to believe they came from inside her. Before they could move back inside her body, Eggman grabbed them, harshly, and looked at them.

Anna would have yelped in pain and fear but the gag pressed against her mouth stopped her. “Amazing,” said Eggman. “Actual wings that could easily come from an angel such as yourself. Oh but I know you weren’t born with them. Your past was opened to me when I researched you after your first arrival. Such a nasty past.” Anna started to tear again as he held the wings tighter, keeping them from going back in. She tried to flex them, getting them to launch Eggman across the room, crashing into the mirror and breaking the glass, right as her wings went back into her body. “Stubborn girl! You’ll regret that!”

“I don’t think so Eggman!”
