Enemies Aren't the Only Thing I'm Scared Of.

The next day was Christmas and the room mates didn't have any plans. Sonic started playing the new game he got from Shadow. Of course it was a gun game. He pretty much played that no stop the entire day. Anna would watch him then get bored and wonder around. She would sometimes bring out a couple sheats of paper and draw Sonic while he was playing. She would also draw Tails while he worked on the Tornado. She loved to draw. When there was nothing to do, her mind would set on and start drawing whatever she saw. Since she was around either Sonic or Tails, she'd end up drawing them.

For the Christmas Season, she wore a red dress with soft, white lining on the edges. She still wore the locket Sonic had given her and didn't feel like wearing socks or shoes today. Cream came by later that day with a present to Anna.

"I just felt so bad about not getting you one," she said sitting on the couch next to her.

"Cream, you didn't have to."

"But I wanted to. Come on! Open it!"

"Chao chao!" said Cheese. Anna opened the small wrapping to reveal a hand made flower crown.

"Wow, Cream. It's beutiful!"

"Thanks."

"You want to stay for lunch?"

"Sure! What do you like Cheese?"

"Chao chao!" Anna still didn't understand him but she knew from his actions he thought it was a great idea. She made sandwiches and gave some to Cream and Cheese along with Sonic and Tails. Tails joined the others while Sonic continued his game. Nothing could tear him from his game. Soon, Cream and Cheese had to go because of a storm coming.

"S-storm?" asked Anna.

"Yeah," said Tails. "It's coming in fast."

"Oh..." Anna didn't like storms. They reminded her too much of her past. She especially didn't like Thunder and Lightning. Unfortunately the power went out and Sonic cussed under his breath. Anna jumped when the power went out, letting out a small scream.

"It's just a storm, Anna," said Sonic. "It's not going to hurt you."

"I don't like storms. They remind me of Dr. Thunder Mouth."

"Who?"

"One of the villains I ran into. Eep!" She jumped a foot in the air when thunder sounded, nearly falling over as she landed, causing Sonic to get closer and catch her.

"You okay?"

"I will be when the storm ends. Eep!'" She huddled into Sonic's chest as another Thunder Roll hit. Lightning streaked the sky in the window, bringing a light into the room. It would be rather pretty if it wasn't so close. Sonic helped her into the room so that she could lie down. The storm wasn't going to pass anytime soon, so she could sleep through it. Then he noticed the locket around her neck.

"Are you going to take that off so you can sleep?" he asked pointing to it.

"No. I'm never taking it off." He smiled when she said that. Part of her hidden feelings had just surfaced. She had feelings for him too. She was laying down and had fallen asleep before the next thundering sound hit. He opened the locket to see a picture of him in it. He could see picture cuttings on the floor now from a picture he didn't really need. He decided to keep his finding a secret. Tails would get jelous and Amy. Oh boy. Amy. She will kill both of them if she found out. The next thunder sound hit and Anna jumped a little in her sleep. She was afraid of storms because of a villain of her past. A Dr. Thunder Mouth. Sonic hasn't heard of him, but maybe Eggman has. He could find out when everything got settled. One thing that probbed his mind was Why her? What did she do to deserve this? She didn't seem to have anything unnusal about her but he did sense something in her. It only resaintly showed itself. Did she have some sort of power? A power she didn't know about but the Dr.'s do? And if so, what is this power of hers?
