I now present to you something to guaranteed to brighten up your day. Enjoy!

"And then," Jay pauses, eating some chocolate mousse before continuing, "Kai falls flat on his face!" Jay rambled, waving his spoon around, before taking another bite. He missed his mouth though and it landed up on his nose instead. Nya giggled.

"Jay, I think you have a little something right-" Nya reached across the table and smeared the mousse across his face. "There." She giggled again.

"Heey," Jay playfully whined. He dipped his hand into the last of his mousse and spread some on his girlfriend's cheek.

"Your check sir," the waiter said looking a little embarrassed when he saw their faces.

"Oh, thanks," Jay said, reaching for it with gis chocolate-covered hand.

"I'll take it," Nya quickly said snatching the check. Jay was confused.

"Nya, I have money this time," Jay said, feeling guilty.

"Don't worry," Nya said laughing, "It's on me. Besides, you were about to grab it with your chocolate hand anyways."

Jay quickly looked down at his hand and wiped it off with a napkin. "Oops."

Nya rolled her eyes. "Go wash your hands while I go pay," Nya told her goofy boyfriend. Jay sheepishly smiled and got up from the table.

"Hey, I had fun with you tonight," Nya told Jay as they were walking down the streets of New Ninjago City.

Jay raised his eyebrow. "And who said anything about this date being over?"

"Oh?" Nya asked in curiosity before Jay dragged her along a couple blocks.

"We're here!" Jay sang out. They were standing outside an outdoor skating rink. The couple could hear music playing.

"What do you think?" Jay asked as they walked in.

There were multi-colored lights dancing across the huge circular rink. There was a medium crowd of people on the rink. Nya was taken aback. She loved ice skating. She looked up at the twinkling stars.

"Jay, it's, it's perfect," Nya finally said. Jay took her hand and smiled.

"I thought you might like it," he replied with a big grin on his face.

"C'mon, let's go get skates." Nya pulled him to the rental place. Jay, who was madly blushing, followed.

"You better not be as bad of a skater as Kai is," Jay joked. He was super nervous and he felt like he was non-stop blushing.

"Pffft. 'Course not. Kai couldn't skate for his life," Nya replied, finished tying her ice skates. "Let's go!" She stood up, pulling Jay up with her.

Jay took a second to stare at Nya. She was so beautiful with her hair up and in her fuzzy aquamarine jacket. Her eyes shone with excitement.

"Jay, earth to Jay." Her hand waved in front of his face.

"Huh!? Oh, sorry," Jay apologized. "I was just staring at you," he told her without thinking. Nya blushed and shoved Jay onto the ice.

"Hey, I won first place in the mother-son skate off competition. It's gonna take a lot more than that to knock me off balance."

Nya laughed as she entered the ice-rink. "The competition was fierce then, huh?"

♡♡♡

"Jay, you goofball!" Nya laughs and nudges him with her shoulder. Some kids whiz past the two. They were playing tag.

"I hope our three-and-a-half kids are like them," Jay says, pointing to the four kids playing tag.

The two were sitting on a bench outside of the rink, taking a small break.

"Tag!" The oldest girl shouted, tagging her younger brother.

"Hey! No fair!" The younger boy cried, but quickly got revenge on his older brother who came whizzing by him.

Nya and Jay watched in amusement.

"Ha, I hope so too," Nya agreed with Jay. She rested her head on his shoulder and gave a contented sigh. They stayed like that for a moment before Jay pulled them onto the rink again at the end of the song. The next song started playing to the tune of upbeat wedding bells. Jay and Nya looked back at each other and smirked. This was their song after all.

"Hey it's a beautiful night," Nya started to sing.

"We're looking for something dumb to do," Jay continued.

"Hey baby," they both sang, "I think I wanna marry you." Jay spun Nya around as they sang the next two lines. They sang and skated around freely without a care in the world. They sang together as the last line came around.

"Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you." Nya looked into Jay's eyes and realized that she meant every word. Jay knew he meant every word because of what he was about to do.

As the song faded out he took Nya by the hand and spun them to the middle of the rink. He finished his spin by getting down on one knee and taking out a medallion. Their medallion. Jay took a deep breath.

"Nya," he starts, "you're so beautiful and smart and sweet and sassy and the list goes on and on. But what I love most about you is you. I love you. And I've wanted to ask you this for a- long time. Will you be my yang. . . and and marry me?"

Nya started at him with her hands over her mouth in shock.

"Oh my god," she whispered, "I can't believe this is actually happening." She looked at Jay anxiously awaiting her answer.

"Yes," Nya breathed pulling Jay up to his feet. "Yes yes yes, and a billion times yes!" Nya threw her arms around Jay's kneck. He wrapped his arms around her waist and they kissed passionately, Jay dipping Nya a bit. After they broke, they could hear clapping and cheering from the crowd that had gathered to watch them, but they were still looking deeply into each other's eyes.

"I love you so much," Nya told Jay.

"I love you so much too Nya." The two turned to the bunch who had started clapping once again, their arms around each other. In the front of the gathering were Zane, Kai, Cole, and Lloyd. They were all clapping like the other strangers, but they were clapping and cheering the loudest. The four made their way over to Jay and Nya, Lloyd having to drag Kai who was clinging to his arm.

Lloyd spoke up first. "Congrats guys. I can't believe this is finally happening!" Lloyd would be jumping up and down if it weren't for Kai.

"Yes, congratulations to the new fiances," Zane says.

"Yeah guys, that was awesome," Cole agreed. "There's gonna be cake at the wedding, right? " Jay rolled his eyes.

"Yeah Cole," Nya replied, "I think there's gonna be cake."

"I can't believe my little sister is getting married!" Kai exclaimed, hugging Nya. Turning to Jay, he said, "I still don't know how you ended up with her after the first thing you said about her 'Is she hot?'." Everyone laughed except for Lloyd and Nya.

"Really now?" She teased considering she already knew the story.

"Hey, at least I didn't say that to you when I first met you," Jay defended.

"Actually, you didn't say much of anything," Zane corrected him. Everyone except for Lloyd laughed again.

"How'd that happen?" Lloyd asked.

"Cole used to be very uncoordinated with his scythe," Jay told him.

Lloyd shook his head knowing that he'll never understand. "Let's just skate."

Yes, it really does end there. I was lazy back then, and I'm super tired right now. Besides, I want to keep it as close as I can to the journal version. Besides a few narrations for clarification and an awesome personification, it's still the same.

So whenever you're having a bad or hard day, a break, or you just need a smile, read this. Just look at it, and be filled with laughter, cuteness, Jaya, and you won't be able to stop smiling.
