Zac is really getting on my nerves this week. So what if Dave calls, maybe he'll stop if I actually answer and talk to him, which is what I finally do when he calls again. "Hello?", I answer my 100th phone call this week. "Steph! You're there!", his voice says down the phone. "Yes, why wouldn't I be?", I laugh. "Listen, I need to tell you something important... But not on the phone", he adds. It must be serious. "Well I don't think Zac would be too pleased if..", "please Steph.. It's about Zac..", he says, startling me. "Okay then.. Where will we meet up?", I ask as I look outside at the dark sky. "I'll come and pick you up", he says quickly. "Okay then, I'll see you then", I add before he hangs up. That was fucking unexpected!

Five drinks more and I start finding it hard to keep my balance. I need to get to Steph to tell her to stay away from Dave, just incase that prick is ringing her.. I stumble and fall a few times but manage to get in my car and start it. To Stephs house we come.

Dave picks me up and says not to ask questions until we reach the park, and within 10 minutes, we do. "Let's sit down first, well be a while", Dave says as he sits on the grass and I join him. "Thank god you answered the phone", Dave scratches his neck. "Get to the point please Dave, Zac isn't gonna be happy if he catches me with you", I say. "And how will he know? Has he come back to your house any day this week?", Dave asks. "No, no he hasn't", I say looking at the ground. "There's something I need to tell you about Zac", Dave says, picking up blades of grass. "Which is...?", I say. "I was getting worried about you so I decided to go and see you. I parked a block away from your estate, don't ask why, I just did. Anyway on my way down to your house I passed by a few alleyways, as you do.

But I saw Zac down one of them, he was with a bunch of people smoking. Smoking what? I don't know, but let's just say if it was cigarets they wouldn't be hiding at the end of an alley. I tried to run back but one of the guys in the 'gang' saw me and dragged me down to Zac. He threatened me into staying away from you, yet here I am telling you everything", Dave finished. I was shocked. "It's okay, it wouldn't be normal not to respond like that", Dave reassured me. "How.. How long do you think he's been smoking what ever drug he had?", I say.

I can't believe I'm heading myself say that about Zac. "I'm not sure but that's not all. He has a drinking problem too", Dave said. "How do know this? I was sure Zac wasn't a big drinker", I say. "He had a drinking problem when we were friends.. When I took drugs", Dave shook himself after he said it, embarrassed. "That must be why he's been having mood swings", I say quietly. "Mood swings? Steph if I was you I'd be staying away from him. Drugs can turn you violent, not to mention the alcohol. Trust me, unfortunately I know", he sighed. Out of nowhere my phone starts ringing immediately.

I need to make it to Stephs quickly, that dick, Dave, could be with her. My head starts spinning and I find it hard to drive in a straight line. What am I doing with my life right now? Drink driving to see if my girlfriend is with a guy that's most likely not even there.. Before I can answer my own question I am blinded with an incoming light from a truck as it smashes straight into my car. The car was toppled over before hitting a tree on the other side if the road. My air bags inflate and glass is shattered everywhere. Immediate pain strikes my head and I can here a woman talking outside the car. "Are you okay son? I'm calling an ambulance don't worry!", I can just about make out what she's saying.

Shit.
