8: Chemistry blues

"Say nee-chan, you do know valentines day is coming up right?"

"Mmmhmmm"

"Who's gonna be your secret love?"

"Shuddup , you already know. Baka-Ryo(r-I-o)[yaro]"

"You are so mean (f/n)-chan"

Ryo walked towards you and said," nee-chan, are you still disturbed by what happened yesterday?"

"I don't know what Hailey motives are. I am still gonna be a player of the basketball team with our circumstances."

(Read this if you picked the library option in the previous chapter)The reason why you could be with Ryo in the basketball team is that you and Ryo had a past. you and Ryo also grew together and have a strong relationship that is inseparable.

So they always put you both in the same class, same basketball team , same group activities or anything like that.

"I swear if Hailey's going to be the manager of this team...." you said with your most threatening voice.

"Ahh, (f/n)-chan is scary. But I will also not forgive the one who stole nee-chan's love away "

"Ahaha, lil' brother is on my side too. Hailey. You better watch out !" You wrapped you arm around Ryo's neck.

The next day in class. It was chemistry lesson in the lab. the teacher was very high class and speaks with a very good command of japanese. It was interesting lesson . But you were unfortunately siting next to Hailey .

While Ryo sat next to Akashi.

You wanted so badly to talk to her about yesterday but you should not as you need to concentrate in this chemistry lesson as you will be mixing chemicals.

"Alright, Class, please do begin mixing the chemicals as told and carry out the following procedure ," the teacher announced loudly and clearly with confidence.

You were mixing the chemicals , testing for the prescence of ammonia.

"You broke loose of your focus a little and talked to Hailey .

"Hailey... Do you know who's Akashi?"
She heard your question and responded, " well yea, not too long ago."

You watched her . she focused so well and mixed the amount of chemicals needed . she also could talk to you at the same time.

"But I somehow do like him." she said

"You are probably not the only one who liked him"

"So what? I will get to meet him much more than anyone else I guess."

"so what did he said to you?" You got irritated as she responded as if she owes Akashi.

"Why should I tell you? I know you like Akashi too."

"It may be true but that doesn't mean that he has submitted himself to you yet"

Hailey got annoyed by those deep words you raised her voice a little and talk back ,"I am going to be the manager of the basketball team. You jelly(jealous)?"

Then suddenly , while in the midst of heating your ammonium salt and alkali, the chemicals suddenly spilled out.

And the chemicals spilled as far as it laid on Hailey's hand XD .

Oh shoot. you heated the chemicals for too long ...( it really happens if you heat them too long)

Dang shiz. I knew she was going to be the manager . She is going to be a pain in my ass. You thought to yourself.(continue to Ryo and Akashi scene)

You know that you can talk to Hailey later. And you continued to carry out the procedure. you know it's going to be a dangerous test as it requires heating.

You cannot allow the mixture to heat that long or else it will spill out.
So you used all your powers to concentrate on doing it .

Halfway through, Hailey broke the momentum of your focus," (f/n), Do you like Akashi?"

"Uh uh.... not sure" you tried hard to concentrate but you found it tough as the topic raised was about Akashi .

"I see, But you do know I like him right?"

"Uh-huh" you completely ignored her cause' you know what the answer would be.

"Then I shall declare that you shall be the competitor of my love"

"Uh-huh" this time you used all your powers to concentrate and focus on your mixture as heating began.

"STOP IGNORING ME WITH THOSE UH-HUH , I AM THE MANAGER OF THE BASKETBALL TEAM, YOU JELLY(jealous)?" She raised her voice louder this time .

Then suddenly, you broke your focus and the chemicals soon spilled out. it spilled out so far that it landed on Hailey's hand.

-(the scene between Ryo and Akashi )-

Ryo's pov

I was focused during chemistry lesson . Unlucky me getting to test for ammonia. I need to be careful too.

I saw Akashi's face troubled so i decided to break the silence," say Akashi, do you like-"

" (f/n)? "

"Err yeah"

"..."

"Silent means consent~I will take that as a yes," oh yay, Akashi likes nee-chan. should I be happy(?)no I don't think so, Akashi's face tells me he's hiding something.

" but I wouldn't be so sure "

"Huh ?"

"Hailey will be our basketball team manager "

My face froze for a while.
And before I knew, the chemicals spilled out. But Akashi knew it was coming and dodged the spilt chemical.

Aww no , Hailey's going to be the manager ? No way. I thought. How am I suppose to say this to (f/n)?
