Demetrius watched his mate's curvy body sway as she stomped. He approached her brothers and looked at them.
They each had a feature strikingly similar to hers.
Her hair reached the small of her back, the tight curls probably concealing its true length. Intricate braids held some of it out of her face.
She truly embodies the exotic look of a witch. Her dress reached her shin but slits went high on each side almost reached her hip. Demetri rumbled in hunger as she took in her chocolate skin.
Her glasses were large, completely covering her beautiful yellow eyes from him.
"Are you done?" Malakai grunted.
"No," he snapped. "But while on the topic- why does she feel it's necessary to wear the glasses?"
Malakai only met his gaze before Lucas opened his mouth.
"She's not going to like you spreading her business," Malakai interrupted.
Demetri glared at him before letting Lucas continue. His gaze quickly drifted back to his small mate however, the Lycans eating around her completely towered over her.
"He's her mate. I won't go into complete detail but when we first arrived she was bullied by the pups," Lucas paused to clear his throat. "She was almost fourteen. Kai and I were both still really young, she was branded as soon as we got here but they didn't anticipate her being so powerful. A group of older teens started berating her for her eye color-among other things. It was getting physical because she wouldn't fight back."
"An asshole was trying to snatch me from her and she just... exploded. Three of them were fatally injured and one died. That's when they rebranded her, the scar is ten times worse than it was."
"It was humiliating to her, she's been insecure ever since," Malakai finished.
Demetri lifted his lip in a snarl as he rubbed his brow. He saw Elora walking under his arm and in the middle of the circle, we'd formed.
"So what do we do now?"Demetri watched her lips move in a trance but took a second to process her words.
"Now I take you to our home." Elora nibbled on her lip and he inhaled sharply. If she kept that up the new mates would be returning to the tent.
"Can we gather our things? Lucas has a lot of valuable things for casting and books and we have clothes and of course pictures..." she began listing everything. Demetri's eyes widened as she began walking away without any explanation in the direction of the cabin from before. The boys wordlessly followed and he found himself doing so as well.
Demetri placed himself next to his mate, feeling her arm brush his own. Goosebumps arose and he watched her sway closer to his warmth.
"Why did you attack this pack?" Suddenly she broke her silence.
Demetrius scratched his scruffy jaw as he answered, "The Lycans are working with the Council in eradicating people conspiring against the supernatural peace treaty. It's the only thing keeping us from killing each other."
"So you slaughter them?" Lucas asks.
"We've held this pack accountable for dozens of offenses, add on the three of you and they were all participants in crimes punishable by death."
"Won't see me cryin' over them," Malakai scoffed.
"Who else is helping the council?"
"We're essentially the group to physically take them down as well as the demons. Berserkers and Hounds are all in our ranks. We get our missions from the Council who get the information from elven creatures, blood suckers, or wolves. Whoever's willing to help." Demetri watched her curls bounce as she nodded. He glanced down sharply as she entangled their fingers.
Demetri pushed the wooden door open for her when suddenly the room lit up gold. Books were levitating into piles on the table. He watched cautiously and she took the piles and started shoving them into bags that should've been filled with one but kept going.
"Welcome to magic," Lucas patted the Lycan's back before following his brother upstairs. Elora looked up from across the room and gave him a wide smile.
"Cool right?"
"Uh huh," he ducked under a book coming in hot.
When it seemed like she'd gotten all the books within minutes she gestured for him to follow her upstairs. She grabbed piles of clothes, majority dresses, and plopped them on a small bed. The behemoth of a man fingered the thin cloth and looked at her.
"We're going to get new clothes soon. For everyone. Now that I've finally found you I'm going to take care of you, I promise."
"I like my clothes," she nudged him, out of the way with her hip and Demetri gripped them instinctually.
He cupped her jaw and turned her towards face his own. "You're beautiful," He announced to her vehemently. She pursed her lips and raised a single white brow.
"I'm going to keep telling you until you believe it," He reminded her with utmost confidence.
"Yea right," she scoffed.
"Mhm I can see it now," Demetri brushed his lips along the shell of her ear. He felt her shiver as he rubbed lower over her stomach, "I'll be repeating it to you while I fuck into you."
She inhaled sharply telling him how his words affected her. She fell silent as they packed the rest of her things.
