A/N: you all deserve someone who looks at you the way sebby looks at anthony :)

"Buck..." You mumble when you finally pull away, feeling a little speechless. That was by far the best kiss you've ever had.

"I...uh..." He stutters. "Tony's gonna kill me." He chuckles nervously and you can't help but laugh and smack his arm playfully.

"That's the thing I'm least worried about." You say under your breath, getting off of him and walking across the room.

"What do you mean?" He replies and he sounds a little offended.

"I-I just mean...I don't know. What was that? What are we? Why did we do that? You-" Sometime during your rambling, he stood up and walked over to you, so he cuts you off by leaning down and placing a soft peck on your lips.

You reluctantly pull away quickly, not ready to kiss him again without answers. You needed to know how he felt. You didn't want your heart broken.

"We...we can't, Buck." You tell him and his face drops, stepping away from you. "You don't like me like that." You assume, looking down and Bucky scoffs.

"You really think I don't like you like that?"

"N-no?"

"Why do you think I let you keep my favourite jumper? Let you have the big bed to yourself? Why do you think I call you 'doll'? I don't call anyone else that. Just you. Because you're my 'doll'." He tells you and for the first time since you started this mission, you've seen his vulnerable side.

He hasn't shown his shy side since back at the tower when you hated him and he was nervous around you. It seemed like going on this mission finally allowed him to have you all to himself. The perfect opportunity to show you he could be the one for you. Maybe back at home, he wasn't nervous around you, he was just nervous showing his feelings for you in front of the team.

Maybe if he acted like how he is now, back at home, you would've warmed up to him months ago. It didn't matter. All that mattered was that he was here, right now, standing in front of you and telling you how badly he wants you. There was only one question left to ask:

"How do you feel about me?" Bucky asks you after a moment of silence while you tried to piece everything together.

"I-I like you too, Bucky. A lot." You tell him honestly and you can't help the huge grin that emerges on your face. You seriously couldn't believe you were feeling this way towards this man. He did something so awful to your parents and your family and yet here you were, after years of hating him, wanting nothing more than to kiss him again.

"I've been waiting to hear you say that since I first saw you." He breathes and you giggle.

"But...we have to take it slow. This is a lot at once, it's barely been a week since I've changed my mind on you." You laugh and squint and he scoffs and rolls his eyes jokingly, smile still plastered on his stubble-covered face.

"That's okay, it's worth it. I've waited
two years for you, what's a little longer?" He teases and you giggle and pull him back into you by his hands, letting him rest them back on your hips, the contrast of warm and cold sending a surprisingly exhilarating feeling over you.

You run your hands up his body, feeling his strong chest even through his shirt, and snake them up around his neck, playing with his newly short hair between your fingers. Even though it's shorter, the front is still a little long so a few strands fall down over his eyes.

That sight alone is enough for you to pull him back into you, your lips meeting one more time as his hands sit patiently on your waist. You deepen the kiss a little and you can tell he's taken aback, but he soon becomes back in sync with you. You pull away after a moment and connect your foreheads together, just enjoying the way his metal and flesh arms feel when they're wrapped around you.

"Such a tease." He whispers, his breath tickling your face as you giggle and blush. He pulls away from you and looks like he's lost in thought so you furrow your eyebrows. "But seriously, what the fuck are we gonna tell your brother?"

"I have no idea." You realise suddenly. "Nothing yet. I wanna have some time with you without being harassed by him every two seconds." You joke with a side of seriousness to it, making Bucky nod.

"Agreed."

The rest of the day is pretty normal, with Bucky collecting a few little details of information from the Hydra base when he detects movement or vehicles coming in or out. Nothing dangerous, just weaponry trucks or food supplies, but he has to report it anyway just in case.

When it starts getting darker, you get changed into some comfy pyjama shorts and you throw on Bucky's jumper, which reaches down far past your shorts. You head outside to see Bucky taking notes about something so you keep your distance, not wanting to intrude.

"Hey." You say from the tent and he spins around to face you, putting his journal down next to him.

"Oh, hey, doll." He replies and slides down the log seat, inviting you to sit next to him. You smile and walk over to him, taking the spot he offered you. You almost don't notice how he grins uncontrollably when he realised that you're wearing his jumper, because you were staring into the spitting fire that Bucky lit earlier.

"What're you writing?" You ask, subtly moving a little closer to him.

"Oh...uh...nothing."

"Everything okay?" You ask, noticing how he tensed up suddenly when you asked about his journal.

"Yeah..." He mumbles, seeing you eyeing his journal. "I just...write stuff down when I get flashbacks or memories. Or even when something good happens in case I forget it. My mind can change at any time, I don't know what could happen and I don't want to forget about how I felt when you told me you liked me. My mind has been through a lot of trauma and Hydra could still have some
control of it. Writing stuff down helps me feel more in control of myself." He admits to you, being fully transparent which you figured meant he really trusted you. You hadn't heard him open up like this to anyone, except maybe Steve.

"That makes sense, it's good that you write stuff down and it helps you. I'm
glad you found someway to feel better about what happened to you." You pause, going over what he said. "You don't want to forget the way I made you feel?"

"Of course not. I don't remember the last time someone made me feel like that. I don't want to forget what that was like, especially because it was you." He blushes and you honestly feel like you could just melt right now. The way this man made you feel was incredible, you didn't even have words to describe it. He made you feel so overwhelmed with emotions you didn't know what to say.

The only way you can manage to express yourself is by wrapping him in a hug and pulling him closer to you.

You couldn't believe this is where you've both ended up, hugging the man who took your parents from you and destroyed your family, but you honestly couldn't be happier.
