Alec, Izzy, Jace, Clary, and Simon had gone out on a demon hunt that night. It was supposed to be an easy get in kill the 5 shax demons that were bothering the club owners. But instead Jace had been his reckless stupid self and had gotten Izzy hurt. So when they arrived at the institute Jace kept apologizing to Izzy and she just kept insisting she was fine and Alec was done hearing it.
The four of them walked to the middle of the institute. Completely oblivious to the fact that Magnus was talking to Maryse not that far from were they are.
"Jace seriously I'm fine," Izzy sat in the table in the middle of the room. Alec to her left Simon to her right. And Clary and Jace across from her.

Everyone got back to what they were doing not wanting to be on his bad side.
At that exact moment Magnus came waking over to him.
"What was that Alec?" Izzy crossed her arms.
" I thought you took Spanish Isabelle? " Alec said with the highest amount of sassyness possible.I
Everyone shut their mouths afraid of Alec yelling at them.

Getting uncomfortable Izzy and Simon made up an excuse about wanting to get some sleep. Jace and Clary also made the same excuse.
