*10 years ago*

"Ryujin come on, let's go!" My best friend takes my hand and starts running. "Wait Jaemin!" He stops running and looks at me concerned. We both look down and I see that my favorite shoes are ripped apart. "Oh no!" I start to tear up. Not my favorite shoes! Jaemin wipes my tears away and said "don't worry, I'll fix them for you!" This is my best friend, Jaemin. He has been my best friend ever since I was born since our parents were already close friends. He is one year older than me and treats me as his little sister. I don't think I'll be able to live without him in my life. He is so caring and thoughtful towards me and I really appreciate him so much. He bends down and pats his back. "I'll carry you." He said and I look at him confused. But my expression turns into a smile and I let him carry me. He has always been like this towards me. I don't think I've ever seen him mad before except that day where I hurt my knee.

*flashback*
"Ow!" I scrape my knee and it starts bleeding. Jaemin quickly runs towards me and takes his water bottle and some tissue to wipe my injured knee. "Why are you so clumsy Ryujin? Don't make me worry about you like this! What would you do if I wasn't here huh?" He keeps complaining about how I don't take care of myself but I know deep inside that he don't want me to get hurt. "I'm sorry Jaemin.." I whisper with my shaky voice and he does nothing other than smile at me.

*back to past Ryujin's pov*

It's the next day and I see Jaemin running towards me. "Ryujin Ryujin I got something for you!!" He yells and I run towards him. He hands me over a purple box and I open it. "Oh! It's my favorite shoes!" I take one of them and it's all fixed up!
"I fixed it for you last night with my dad! I hope you like it!" He said all proud and I give him a huge smile. I then let go of the box and give my best friend a big big hug! "I love it! Thank you so much Jaemin!" I said and he giggles before hugging me back. After school we both are walking on our way home while eating Ice cream. "Ryujin, what do you want to be when you grow up?" Jaemin asked and without hesitation I say "a princess! hehe I want to marry a prince and live in a huge castle!" We both chuckle and I then ask him "what do you want to be when you grow up?" He stopped walking and points at a huge poster. There in front of us we see five handsome men with a mic in their hands. "I want to be a singer.." he calmly said and I slowly nod at him. "To be able to deliver happiness through my voice is my goal in life.." he said with a smile and I smile back at him. "And I'm sure you'll be a huge huge singer! Even more successful then those men!" I said with my arms out to express how much I mean it. He chuckles at me and ruffles my hair.

It's now several days later and Jaemin told me to meet up with him under the tree. Our secret spot whenever we needed each other. I run over to him to see my best friend upset. His usual smile is now gone and my heart stops. He gives me a weak smile and asked me "how are you?" I'm still concerned about why he looks so sad. "What's wrong Jaemin? Did your parents fight?" I ask. He shakes his head while looking down before he looks me at with tears in his eyes. "I'm moving out.." he whispers and that's when my whole world stopped. What? Why? How dare he leave me all alone! All these feelings of anger and betrayal I felt took over me and I yell "Why would you do that?! You promise to never leave me!! I'll never forgive you!!" After expressing my feelings, I ran away from him. Days has passed and I haven't been myself. When mommy would tell me it's dinner time, I would refuse to eat anything. How could I? My best friend is leaving me all alone and I will never forgive him for that! It's now the day where they'll move out and my parents are out to help them with their stuff. I see the truck out of my window parked in their parking lot. I can't do it.. I have to see him! I run out of my front door and over to where Jaemin is carrying his box. He stops walking when he sees me running towards him. He let's go of his box and runs towards me and we end up hugging. I start sobbing in his arms and he is patting my back. "Don't cry Ryujin.. it's okay!" He whispers while tearing up as well. Of course he is going to say that! He is always so positive about everything because he is Jaemin! Our parents looks at us with teary eyes as well. "Don't leave me Jaemin!" I manage to say and he let's go of our hug. "It's not that I'm going to disappear forever you know? Destiny will bring us together, I promise.." he said and I shake my head. "No! No I don't want you to go! You have to stay here with me!" I take my shoe off and rip it apart before I say "see! It's ripped apart! You need to fix it for me! Who is going to fix my shoes when you're gone?!" He takes my shoe in his hand and said "I'm sorry Ryujin.." he wipes my tears away and points at the sky. "When you are gonna miss me, just look up at the sky and remember that I'll always be under the same sky as you.. don't forget that.." he whispers and that's when his mom said "alright Jaemin, it's time to go!" I grab his arm and said "promise me that we'll see each other again.." he gives me a smile before whispering "I promise.." I then let go of him.
I see them get inside their car and when it drives by me, my legs automatically makes me run after them. "Jaemin!!" I scream at the top of my lungs but it didn't help. That evening I sit in my room and look at the shoe I have in my hand. Jaemin did never let go of the other one which I'm not mad about. At least he won't forget about me.. "I promise you that I'll fulfill your dream, Jaemin.." I whisper to myself. I'll become a successful singer and that way I can be on tv and you'll see me again.. just wait for me..
