Part 7 (friday concert)

It's the next day and Jaemin is quietly reading the lyrics. He looks up at the producer before agreeing to do the duet. "Sweet! Now let's start recording so we can upload it on ITZY's YouTube channel!" The producer said and we immediately start recording. I can't tell if he knows about the fact that the story is about him but let's just hope that he doesn't. Now that I think about it, how is he going to memorize the lyrics that fast? Suddenly when he starts singing, he looks like he knew the song already, I'm surprised. He really is talented.. I just sit there and listen to him sing and it brings back memories. I can see how passionate he is in music and I can't help but stare at his face. After he finish with recording, we all starts to listen to it and not gonna lie, having a male vocal makes the song even more perfect. It really points out the story and I can't help but smile. "You guys should totally sing it for the Friday concert!" The songwriter said and I look at him in shock. "Wait why do we have to do that?" I asked in confusion. "Why not? I think it's the perfect way to share it with the audience." The producer said and I look at Jaemin who doesn't seem to disagree with that idea. ugh, how bad can this even be?! First I have to sing it with the person I though about while writing it and now I have to perform it with him? The staff ends up agreeing with the idea and a couple of days later we start practicing. There isn't a specific choreography that we need to follow but we still have a routine to what is going to happen.
It's surprisingly not that bad singing with Jaemin. It kind of calms me down to see him by my side performing in a huge crowd. Now don't get me wrong, this isn't my first time performing in front of people.. but it's my first time with Jaemin. It's now the time where I need to sing the song at the Friday concert. I'm sitting in front of the mirror looking at myself. I have glittery makeup on but my hair and clothes is not as crazy. I stare at my reflection for a good 5 minutes before I hear the door open and there I see Yuna smiling at me. "Are you excited?!" She asked walking towards me and I stand up to look at her. "I'm kind of nervous.." I said with a shaky voice and Yuna gives me a hug before saying "you'll rock it! It's going to be amazing so don't worry!" I hug her back. She knows exactly how to calm me down. The staff then tells me that I have three minutes left and Yuna whispers "fighting!" before I leave the room. I'm standing behind the curtains and Jaemin pats my back. I jump a little in surprise and he gives me the smile that he used to give me when we were kids. "We can do this.." he whispered and I smile back at him. It's now my time to walk over to the stage and I give them all a bright smile. "Hello everyone! My name is Ryujin and I'm a member of ITZY!" The whole crowd starts cheering and clapping. I chuckle before I continue to say "however today I won't be performing with the other members! I will sing a special song called "don't forget" that I wrote a long time ago with my friend who is also a trainee under SM, please give a warm welcome to Jaemin Na!" I point at Jaemin who waves at the audience. They start cheering and clapping even louder when they saw Jaemin and he starts casually waving and smiling at everyone. "Hello everyone I'm Jaemin, nice to meet you! I hope everyone is having a great time so far and please enjoy this performance!" He said before bowing to the crowd. I give him a smile and he smiles back at me. It warms my heart to see my childhood best friend doing something he wanted for years now. The song then starts and Jaemin is the first to sing (you guys can listen to it while reading this part. I have the video at the top (: )
His eyes sparkles while looking at the crowd and I can't stop admiring him. He has trained for so long and now he finally got the chance to stand on a stage. He looks so relaxed and happy to see everyone waving their phones with the flashlight on. Maybe he hasn't forgot about me? What if it's not that bad to like him? He takes my hand which is the part of our routine and it's now my turn to sing. I look in his eyes and sing my heart out. Cause what I'm singing is how I really feel and it makes me feel like I'm letting it all go. "..don't forget this song.." Jaemin sings his last part and his eyes.. it's like he is trying to tell me something but I can't figure out what.. the crowd starts clapping and cheering so I snap out of it and we both wave the crowd goodbye. The other members greets me backstage and compliments my performance. "You did so well!" "It really sounded beautiful!!" I start chuckling at their overwhelming support until Jaemin said my name from behind. "Can I talk to you for a minute?" He asked.. what does he need to talk about? Has he realized that the song is about him??
