Mia was still in her office. She had been awake for nearly twenty hours at this point and had been preparing for the show, discussing it with other photographers and even speaking with JamesAnthony about it.
She never expected him to like the idea. Explaining that music is a huge part of Seattle. Grunge originated in Seattle. Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana. To see today's music in Seattle could be an amazing opportunity.
And he loved it.
Not only did he excuse her from the other shoot. He was able to get her all access to the concert, not that she didn't have it before. He gave her another photographer to accompany her as well along with a constant as this was her first real deal job.
Mia hadn't wanted to be seen by Luke, so she did her best to blend in with the crowd while she was there. But god when she saw his face for the first time she felt a part of her break. She really felt how much she missed him.
It had been hours since he disappeared off the stage. She sent her other photographer to the backstage area to get some after shots but as she found out he and the others were quick to leave the venue.
Now she sat in her own office placing final touches on photos. She had posted some not too long ago but she wanted to get some up tonight before JamesAnthony woke up and didn't see anything about this event.
When she finished she was quick to leave, she knew she had to walk all the way home, in heels. She wanted to get on her way so she could get in her bed as soon as possible.
The twenty minute walk through Seattle's night life terrified her. She had never had to walk home so late. Busses weren't running. Her phone was dead at this point, so she wasn't able to call a taxi or an Uber ride. Her only option was walking.
It wasn't as bad as she thought. She did pass quite a bit of scary sights but was quick to rush past them.
She was quiet unlocking her apartment door, she knew her roommate would be upset if she woke. She was always one for getting her sleep.
Mia quietly closed the door behind her, but coming down the hallway she didn't think twice about the dim lights of the apartment being on or the fact that her roommate wasn't even in bed.
But as she rounded the corner coming into the living area of her home she felt her stomach drop and a loud gasp escapes her.
Luke.
He was standing right in front of her. Staring right back at her, still in the clothes he wore on stage just hours ago, but he was here. In her own apartment.
"Luke" she says under her breathe.
He was much taller than her, she had taken a step back from him realizing just how close they were. He stared at her just as she stared at him. With shock and just amazement to be in each other's presence.
Mia let her bag fall off her shoulder to the floor causing a loud noise as her laptop was in it. Luke looked to the floor where her back lay just before looking to her again.
Luke felt just as shocked as she. He knew she would be coming home yet still he wasn't prepared to be seeing her so close. He wanted to reach out and wrap her in his arms.
She was so beautiful. Amelia was just like he imagined her. Dressed in her work clothes she wore a black long sleeve shirt, a shirt and tights with her heels. He loved every bit of her look. But she looked tired. She looked so sad and tired.
