I wasn't paying attention since they were still in the F section, when I heard my name, I could feel everyone's eyes on me, "Alexandra Hughes?" asked Mrs. Case. "Here!" I said in a strong enough voice to be heard from the back, but not enough to be super loud. I raised my hand so she could see me. She looked over and looked down to her list. She continued to take roll and then started her lesson. Class went by in what felt like a super slow hour.
After class was over, I started packing my stuff back into my bag, when I felt eyes on me. I looked around and I didn't see anyone looking at me. I thought nothing of it and left the class, walking down the hallway I decided to put in my earbuds and walk to my car.
On the way there I still felt someone watching me, I kept looking around to see if someone was watching me but still I couldn't find anyone even looking up from their phone or from looking at each other. I got to the courtyard, where it was full of people walking around, some were standing together in groups, chatting. The courtyard was loud, loud enough that I could hear it over my music, I passed groups of people passing out flyers, some were passing around a ball. You can tell everyone was just in their own little world. But the feeling of being watched never left, as soon as a was close to my car I ran to it. The sooner I get home, the sooner the feeling of being watched goes away.
As I got in my car I saw a movement in my rearview mirror, it was a dark blur but I could tell it was a person. I couldn't see their face. I didn't think much of it, thinking it was someone trying to walk behind my car. I turned to the front to turn on the car and started to pull out of the parking lot, the feeling of being watched was gone. I sighed, exhaling a breath I didn't know I was holding. I drove down the somewhat familiar road, following the directions of my gps, still not knowing my way home yet. I parked in my designated parking space and went to the elevator to the fifth floor and walked to my apartment.
The moment I walked in I saw a bunch of stacked boxes, all full of unpacked stuff. I signed once again and got to unpacking, three hours later and I was halfway done. It was around three in the afternoon, when I got hungry. I decided to order take-out, I looked online for local restaurants that deliver and found a small chinese place that delivers, once I finished ordering, I decided to continue putting things away while waiting for the food.
An hour later I had finished eating and putting things away. I decided to go on a stroll around the block to get to know the neighborhood I know live in. I saw that there was a small park next to the apartment building. Small stores and lots of old victorian looking houses. It was fairly quiet, summer was at its peak and it was hot, not hot enough that it burns but hot enough that you will break a sweat.
Halfway through my walk I felt like I was being watched again. I thought, 'maybe I should go back home.' So I decided to start heading back. As soon as I started walking back, I felt like someone was following. I looked back but there was no one there. I turned around and started walking home, I still felt like there was someone behind, I decided to ignore it and walked a bit faster. I felt the person get closer and closer, I kept walking until I felt hot breath next to my neck.Quickly I turned around to see who it was, but as soon as I turned around, there was no one there. I saw I was close enough to the apartment building that I decided to just run back. The feeling of being watched still on me. I ran straight to the elevator, pressed the button and as soon as the doors closed, I leaned against the elevator walls and caught my breath.
As soon as I got to my apartment door, I looked to my left and my right and got in. I had the feeling of still being watched until I got inside. I decided since I didn't work today, I'll take a shower and relax in my living room. As soon as I sat down on my couch, I finished my homework, and turned on the tv. I got lost watching tv, that the moment I got tired, I looked at the clock on my wall and saw that it was eight at night. I went to my room and changed into my pajamas, and went to lay down on my bed. I remember to turn on my alarm and went to sleep. Thinking nothing of the feeling of being watched all day today.
