When I woke up on Saturday, I went into the living room and saw that Sam was up and getting ready for work. They went into my room and started searching through my closet and went into the bathroom with their outfit for the day. Sam works at a 70's theme diner. As they got out the shower, they headed over to their stuff and started packing. We said our goodbyes and they left. I decided to call the detective and tell him about the note, about how they got in my apartment. I went into the living room and put on a movie. Knocking on the door took my attention from the movie. I went to open the door and saw that the detective was the one knocking. "Hi detective, would you like to come in? Would you like anything to drink? Coffee, water, OJ?" I asked him, while opening the door wider. " Coffee would be great, thank you. You had something to tell me?" He said while getting out his little notebook. I went into the kitchen, with him following me. "Yeah, Uh, I think the stalker got into my apartment and killed my dog. They also left a note on my nightstand and haven't had the chance to open it yet." I said while pouring coffee into two mugs.

"Oh, Um Okay. What did you do with the dog? And can you bring out the note?" he asked while writing everything down. "I put Tony in a cardboard box I had, he's right here in the corner of the kitchen. I'll go get the note." I left him in the kitchen and went into my room to retrieve the note. " I don't know how they got in.

I made sure that everything was locked when I left for work." I yelled out from my room. I got the note and walked into the kitchen where the detective was sitting at the table. Still taking notes. " Have you given a copy of your key to anyone? A friend or a relative? Or have your spare key hidden somewhere outside?" he questioned while continuously writing things down. " No, I haven't given a key to anyone. Why? Do you think that the stalker has a copy of my key?" I asked. "Yeah, and I think you should ask the apartment building manager to allow you to change the locks." Said the detective.

After talking for another hour on what I should do. The detective took the dog to test what kind of poison he used and drove off. I started to walk to 'Petite treats' to get my car. I didn't work today. So it gave me another chance to go talk to the manager. After calling him and convincing him to let me change the locks. I went to the hardware store and bought another lock. After changing the locks, I sat down and did some thinking. I made the choice of going on a drive to visit my parents.

They live an hour away from me, I packed an overnight bag, having decided to stay the weekend. As I drove into my parents driveway, I noticed that the feeling of being watched went away. I felt myself relax for what seemed to be a very long time. I don't think the stalker knows where my parents live, and I would love to keep it that way.

I got my stuff out the car and walked to the front door. I knocked and heard walking on the other side of the door. My mom opened the door and seeing her face brought back lots of memories and familiarity. "Alex! Oh my God, it's so good to see you!" She exclaimed, she brought me into a hug and I felt myself melt into her embrace. 'Oh, how I missed this.' I thought. "I actually came to visit you for the weekend, I've missed you so much mom. So much has happened since I left for school." I gushed out in a hurry.

I wanted to get inside the house. I don't want to be seen here and have my parents be in danger too. "Where's Dad?" I asked while looking around, nothing has changed, everything was exactly like they were when I left. "He's at the store, He'll be back in a bit. Have a seat, I'll go get us something to drink? Have you eaten anything yet?" she yelled while walking to the kitchen. "Yeah, I did, I had a small breakfast before I drove here!" I yelled back. I wanted to tell her what was happening so bad, but I didn't want her to worry or make me come back to live with her. It'll just put her in unneeded danger.

How've been? How's school? Have you made any new friends?" She kept throwing questions at me. I guess it's my fault for not calling her or for visiting as often. "I'm fine, schools great, passing all my classes, I have made new friends that I hang out with often. Everything is great." I said, I made up my mind, I'm not telling her about the stalker. "Why did you all of a sudden decide to come and visit and stay for the weekend? Not that I mind, it's great that you remembered you have parents." She said with a small smile. "What, can't I visit my loving parents out of nowhere because I miss them?" I joked with a smile. We both just laughed and caught up with each other. "Well, I'm going to start making lunch. As soon as she walked into the kitchen dad walked in.

"Hi dad." I got up and gave him a hug as he was walking into the house. "Hey, peanut, how are you?" he asked while squeezing me in a hug. "M'fine." I answered.

"What brings you into our neck of the woods?" he asked while hanging his jacket behind the door. "Nothing just missed you guys and wanted to stop by and visit." I replied back. I went back into the living room and got my bag and walked upstairs, I went into my old room and saw that it was cleaned and nothing was changed. I went to my window and locked it and closed the curtains. I sat down on my bed and felt myself get tired. As I was about to fall asleep, mom called me down to the kitchen. " FOODS READY!" I guess I'll take a nap afterwards.
