Chapter 9

I haven't seen Ryland since yesterday when he told me his he felt. I still felt guilty about it. Who wouldn't? Its Ryland for goshhh sake. I got my blue scatter skirt and a flowery crop top. I put on my blue converse and applied my makeup. I walked out the bathroom and saw Rydel on the bed. "Hey" i said cheerfully. "Morning!" She said sending me a huge smile. I grabbed my bag and walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Everyone was sitting down except Ryland who was nowhere to be seen. "Morning everyone!" I said sitting down at the table next to Riker. "Morning pretty lady" Riker said. It made me blush. I noticed Rocky looking at me. "I'm going to leave early and go on my penny board to school considering i probs won't be getting a lift from Ryland" i said getting up. "So you wanna lift" Riker said also standing up. "No it's okay" i said walking out and running to Rydels room. I changed my skirt to leggings and grabbed my penny board my friends gave me. I strolled downstairs and walked out the house. I rode my penny board down the street off to school.

After about 15 minutes. I got to the school parking lot. I was pretty early so i just rode around the empty parking lot. There was some guys there that were obviously talking about me. I stopped in front of them and said "erm yes!" I said looking at them. "Oh sorry just surprised that you can ride like a pro!" A tall guy said. "Thanks" i said and rode off. When a lot of people came i stopped and just leaned against a wall of the school and got my phone out. I didn't know what to do so i put it away and went to my locker. I opened it to my mirror i had on the door and checked how i looked. I checked the time and just 10 minutes left till lesson. I put my penny board under my arm and closed my locker door and wandered around the school. I had Maths again and i wandered around that area. The bell went and i went into the classroom. Ryland wasn't there. I really wanna know what happened to him.

Ryland wasn't in for any lessons. I walked out the school. I saw Rocky in his usual kissing spot but he wasn't with a girl. A brunet walked over to him but he shook his head and walked away. He kept staring at me. What? Has he changed for me?
*Rockys POV*
Ryland is still upset about Rose. But now it's my turn to show her i really care about. Step 1 : stop playing girls.
I walked to my normal kissing spot and leaned against the wall. Everyone started rushing out. I then saw Rose. I stared at her. Bonnie walked up to me but i shook my head and walked away. I kept staring at Rose. I need her to know that
I'm changing for her.
*Roses POV*
Omg he has. Rocky had changed for me! This is big. But what about Riker? I rode my penny board down the streets and everyone was looking at me. I stopped still on my penny board and shouted "what a girl can't ride now?" And carried on down the street.
Soon enough everyone else has disappeared and i was the only one around. Good. Now i can do tricks i have been dying to do. I saw a brick on the floor. Might as well. I got ready to jump over it with my pent board. I go close to it and jumped with my penny board and landed on my penny board. I did it. I carried on. "Whoop!" I heard across the road. I looked and it was a boy from my school filming me. I quickly picked my penny board up and ran to the house.
When I finally got there and got in. I ran about 20 blocks. I'm not really tired. I am quite fit. I love sports. I walked into the living room and Rocky, Riker and Ross was just walking out. "Oh hey guys" i said. "Oh hey Rose we were just gonna play some basketball. Wanna come and play?" Riker asked smiling at me. "Sure" i said walking out with the house to the front. Ross came out after a few seconds later. "Okay whos gonna get Rose?" Riker said. "That's mean!" I snarled at him. "I'm joking! We cab be on the same team" he said laughing. "Really? I would rather have someone at my level!" I said. He pouted. I just laughed. "Okay me and Riker and then you two" i said pointing at everyone when i said their names. Rocky started with the ball. I went and marked Ross and Riker stood i front of Rocky. Ross quickly ran around me and Rocky threw the ball and Ross caught it. He dribbled and jumped and shot to the hoop and got it in. Ross and Rocky cheered and bro hugged. Aha okay. Riker started with the ball. Ross marked me. I slid to the right then quickly to the right and Riker chuck me the ball and i caught it. Ross was now behind me. I then moved on one foot around him and threw the ball at Riker. He threw the ball up in the air. I ran up and dunked it in the hoop. It went in. I landed and me and Riker was screaming in a happy tone. I ran to him and jumped at him into a hug. He wrapped his arms below my butt to secure me there. I wrapped my arms around his neck. He spun me around and i giggled. I placed me down and we stared into each others eyes. Wow he has fabulous eyes. *cough cough* i heard Ross in the background. I looked at him and me and Riker swiftly moved away from each other. I blushed. I saw that Rocky got sad. Sigh. Oh no.
We played for hours and me and Riker won. We all walked back in side. Everyone went upstairs and i walked into to living room an turned the tv on. I put Friends on. I went to the kitchen. I poured myself a glass of coke. I heard the front door open and close. Rydel? I walked back into the living room and found Ryland sitting in the far end if the couch. "Hey" said sitting down on the same couch. He blanked me. Great. "Are you okay?" I asked him looking in his direction. He stood up and ad was about to walk out until i said " you can't just blank me like this!" I said standing up. He stopped his actions and turned around. "Rose you broke my heart. I'm Shattering inside. I cry ever night. It's killing me. You just don't get it! It's hard to live with" he said turning around about to walk out again. "The thing is... I do Ryland. For 10 months!! And still now!! You think no-one feels the same way and your the only one and that everyone else's life if perfect. But no-ones life is perfect. I have a shattered heart as well Ryland. Don't expect that your the only one!!!!" I said. Then I realised that i was pouring out tears. I out my glass down and ran out past Ryland and up the stairs. I was gonna run to Ryes room and cry into my pillow but somehow I ended up knocking in Rikers door. He opened the door and saw me crying. He brought me in and shut the door. "What's wrong?" Riker asked sitting me on his bed and putting his arms around me. I told him what just happened and the situation with Spencer. "Omg. Rose" he said squeezing me into a hug. I swung my arms around his neck and pulled him closer. "It's getting pretty late. You should get some sleep for tomorrow" he said loosening from me. I nodded and stood up. "Could i sleep in here tonight?" I said turning around. "Sure" he said smiling. I went and changed into my night wear and put my hair into a messy bun. I washed my makeup off and walked into Rikers room. He only had baggy shorts on. No top. Which revealed his abs. Omg they are fabulous! "Like what you see?" He said laughing. Oh gosh i was staring. I blushed and climbed into his bed. It was comfy. Well comfier than the sit mattress! I faced the wall leaning on my side. I closed my eyes. I then felt warm arms wrap around me and pull me closer. I smelt a summer, sunshine smell. Riker. I smiled and turned over so i was facing him. He was also on his side nI slid down a bit a leaned my head on his chest. I had my hands to my neck so my arms would be folded into my chest. Mine and Rikers legs intertwined. "Night beautiful" he said kissing my head. I snuggled closer to him and he pulled me closer to him. He was warm. Wen ever i inhaled. Riker sent floated through my nose which made me smile. This is great. I feel safe and secure. He is 23 and I'm 17. Nearly 18. But who cares? Not me. I'm In love with him. Wait. Oh my. I love Riker.

I love Riker!!!!
