This story takes place one year after the final episode of shadowhunters. Clary and Jace got married and are about to face their biggest challenge yet. Parenting.

Clary POV "Clary" Jace yells from the bedroom across the hall. Imogen had offered the Herondale manor to Jace a few months ago. He happily accepted and we moved in last week. The house was beautiful it had a huge garden and an in ground pool in the backyard along with a beautiful patio. I walk over to the room across the hall. It was getting harder and harder to walk since my due date was any day now. "So what do you think?" Jace asks. He has been working night and day on finishing the baby's nursery. "It's wonderful honey" I say.

"Well I'm going to go hop a shower" I say. "Ok I'm going to get ready for bed". I walk out of the room and into the bathroom. I turn the shower on and hop in. Once I finish I wrap a towel around my body and walk out of the bathroom. I walk over to the dresser and begin changing into pyjamas. Jace wolf whistled. " You know we've been married for a year now and I'm nine months pregnant and yet you still find me attractive" I say as I lay down beside him on the bed. "I will forever find you attractive Clarissa Adele Herondale" Jace says sweetly. I lean over a kiss him on the lips. He deepens the kiss. All of a suddenly I feel as if I've peed myself. "Jace" I say. "Ya" "My water just broke" "Ugh this kid has terrible timing" "Hey that's our kid your talking about" I say. "Call Magnus and the others". Jace gets off the bed and dials Magnus's number.
Jace POV "Hello?" Alec says on the phone. "Hey Alex can you get Magnus and come over right now" I say. "Why?" "Clary's in labour""I'll be there in two minutes". And with that I hung up and rushed over to Clary's bedside. "Hey is there anything you need?" "I need water and a towel" "Ok". I walk out of the room and grab everything Clary needs. By the time I get back in the room a portal had opened for Magnus,Alec and surprisingly Isabelle and Simon. "Don't worry midwife Magnus is here" Magnus says making an entrance. "How far apart are the contractions" Magnus says. "About 5 minutes" Clary says. Magnus nods.
