Chapter 3: The proposal

Clary's POV
I wake up alone in my bed. I sit up in bed and stretch. I smell food. I walk down stairs to the kitchen. I see Jace cooking. "Morning where's Aurora?" I say as I sit on a barstool. "She's sleeping in her crib" Jace says as he turns kisses my head and continues cooking. He finishes in a few minutes and sets two plates with bacon and eggs on the island. A cry disturbs the silence. "I'll get it" Jace says.

He rushes up the stairs. I continue eating. Jace comes down the stairs with Aurora against his chest. He sits down on the barstool placed Aurora in one arm and continued eating. "So did you sleep well" he asks "Yes it seems like you also slept well" " Yes i did and I'm sorry for not sleeping with you last night" "It's ok at least I know you love our daughter" "More than you could imagine" he looks down at Aurora. "So do you have anything to do today?" I ask. "In matter of fact Izzy asked to come over today is that ok with you" Jace asks. "Yes that's fine did she say what time". "She said around noon" "Ok" I say as I get up and put my dishes in the sink. "Well I think it is time for this little one to have breakfast" I say as I pick Aurora up from Jace's arm.

I walk up the stairs to the nursery to nurse Aurora. Once she's done I walk back down stairs and sit on the couch with her. I look down at her and she opens her eyes for the first time. One eye is baby blue like Jace's and the other is emerald green like mine. "JACE" I yell. He comes running into the room. "What is it ,is something wrong" he says with fear. "No Jace look at her eyes". "There a perfect mixture of mine and yours" he says "Yes but she looks more like you than me" "Well we will just have to see what her personality is like "I say. A knock on the door interrupts us. Jace walks over to the door and it reveals Izzy. "Ugh I'm so tired from carrying this engagement ring" she says as she flops on the couch dramatically with the back of her hand on her forehead. "Who wouldn't be?" I ask. "Wait did you say engagement!" Jace asks. "Yes me and Simon are engaged!" She says excitedly. "Congratulations! Both of my best friends are getting married I couldn't be happier" I say. I pass Aurora to Jace and hug Izzy. "So where is Simon?" I ask. "He's picking out his ring" "Well when is the wedding?" I ask. "We were hoping Magnus could help us plan it for next week" "Jace we need to go shopping" I say. "But what about the baby?" Jace says all overprotective. "Jace she can come with us" "But she's only a day old what if she gets hurt" "Jace she will be fine. Plus she has absolutely pure angel blood" "Fine". Once we finish our conversation I take Aurora from Jaces arms and walk upstairs. I change her into a pink onesie with a hat.

(This is basically what Aurora looks like although she has a blue eye and a green eye)
I place Aurora in her crib while I pack the baby bag. Once I finish I walk into my room and get dressed.

I went back down stairs with Aurora and said my goodbyes to Izzy.  After she left me and Jace portalled to the New York institute where our car was parked.  (You can choose what car they drive). We drive to the mall.  Jace gets out first and sets up the stroller.  I then get Aurora and the baby bag and put Aurora in the stroller.  We walk into the store Lara and begin browsing for dresses.(Sorry I'm not American so I don't know what kind of dresses stores there are there).  One in particular catches my eye I try it on and it fits perfectly.

"I'll buy this one" I say as I walk over to the cash register to pay. Jace pushes the stroller out into the hall to wait for me. Once I finish paying me and Jace walk to the Children's Place. It took me a long time but I finally found the perfect dress.

I tried the dress on Aurora and it fit perfectly. So I paid for the dress and me and Jace drove back to the New York institute and portalled back to the Herondale Manor in Idris.

Sorry for making this chapter so boring please give me suggestions on what to write about.
