This story takes place one year after the final episode of shadowhunters. Clary and Jace got married and are about to face their biggest challenge yet. Parenting.
Clary's POV: It has been 4 months (she is now 7 months pregnant) since we found out Izzy was pregnant. And Auroras first birthday is today. Me and Jace are currently decorating our house while Magnus and Alec are babysitting Aurora.
Izzy really wanted to bake the cake for her but Jace very much disagreed with that idea. So I'm going to have to bake the cake. I decide to stop decorating and begin making the cake. I decided to make a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I begin making the batter and place it in the oven. And while it is baking I go to help Jace some more. I check the cake a few times in that hour and eventually I take it out.
I decorate it and I put happy birthday in white frosting on the top. We have an hour until the party so me and Jace just decide to make the final touches. We sit and relax for a bit until we hear a knock on the door.
I walk over to the door and I see Izzy and Simon standing with some presents. "Hi guys come on in" I say taking the presents from them and placing them on a table. "Hey sis" Jace yells from the couch too lazy to get up. "Hi Jace" Izzy yells back. I lead them into the living room and we sit and talk waiting for everyone else to show up. Eventually everyone shows up including Maryse, Luke, Max, Robert, Mia and Raphael. The only people missing are Aurora, Magnus and Alec.
We just sit and relax and talk about our lives until we hear a knock on the door. I get up and go get the door. I open it up and Magnus holding Aurora. I then look beside him to barely see Alec since his face is blocked with tons of presents and there is three more in Magnus's other hand. "Hello biscuit, could you take Aurora so I could help Alec with the presents" I nod and take Aurora and take a few of the presents. Once inside I place Aurora on the ground knowing she knows where to go. She immediately runs to find Jace. While I go back to trying to fit the presents on the too small table apparently.
Jace's POV: I see Aurora coming running around the corner looking for me so I run and pick her up. She squeals in excitement "Dada" she says. "Hi sweetheart happy birthday" I say as I kiss her on the cheek. She giggles and I put her back down. Everyone takes their turn saying happy birthday and then we decide to go eat lunch since it's only 1:00. Aurora makes a huge mess while eating lunch so me and Clary take her to go clean her up and we change her into a beautiful little white dress with a pineapple pattern.

We then take her back into the living room to open presents. She got a lot of clothes and tons of toys from Magnus. Before she finishes unwrapping the last one I say "Wait I forgot one" I go to the guest room and get the present.
Clary's POV: I help Aurora open up her last gift which was a toy and then we wait until Jace comes back with her other gift which I actually don't know what it is. After a minute I see Jace walking out with a golden Labrador Retriever in his arms.

Aurora squeals and runs towards her dad full speed nearly falling over in the process. "You bought her a puppy" I say putting my hands on my hips. " Yes I did and his name is Bear" Jace says crouching down so Aurora can pet the puppy. "He is sooooo cute" Izzy says with tears in her eyes. "Izzy what's wrong?" Simon asks her. "He's so cute I want one" "No not that your dripping water" Simon says. "You idiot she's going in labor" Jace says nonchalantly. "WHAT!!" I yell, "but she's only seven months pregnant". I start to panic.
"Well the babies are twins and half vampire and half shadowhunter so they could be early" Magnus says. "Ahhhh" Izzy screams hunching over in pain. "Enough talking we need to help her" Alec says going to help his sister to the nearest bedroom. Well it seems like these babies are coming earlier than I thought.
