"I wasn't even thinking!" He let me down easy before backing up, putting his back to the opposite wall. "Shit, Dais...what do we do?"
"I can't have a baby, Zayn. I have so much going on already." His eyes had been wide since I mentioned the word 'condom'.
"I know, babe, I know! I didn't realize.." He ran a hand through his hair. "I don't know what to do..."
"We could...ask your mom.." I didn't mean that. I even shook my head as I said it.
"She probably knows what to do.."
"Zayn...no. We can go to the store for some type of morning after pill? That's a thing, right?" I asked him as if he would know. He was like a deer in headlights.
"God, Daisy. I'm so sorry." He pulled on his hair.
"Stop...stop, it's okay. I mean, I'm not pregnant." I stepped forward to him.
"Not yet." I reached up for his face and he looked away from me.
"Are you gonna cry?"
"No," he took a deep breath, "maybe. I'm just...scared for you. Scared for us."
"Don't be. We're gonna figure this out."
"Can we get one of them things my mum used on the turkey? The tube-suction thing?"
"The what?" It took me a minute to realize what he was talking about. "Zayn. I'm not sticking a turkey baster up my vagina."
"I'm just trying to brainstorm." I wanted to laugh but he was actually serious.
"Look." I put my hands on his shoulders. "We're going to finish showering, get dressed and then go to the nearest pharmacy. I'm sure walmart has something that'll help this situation."
"Okay..." I went up on my tippy toes and kissed him.
"I love you."
"Love you."

I finished showering first, and practically ran from the bathroom to Zayn's room. I grabbed a pair of sweats and one of my bed time t-shirts. I didn't even bother throwing on a bra. I should've been going to bed, not running to the store for an anti-baby pill. Zayn came out of the shower minutes after I did, and threw on some gym shorts and a regular tee. I shook my hair dry the best I could with my damp towel and braided it, hoping it wouldn't drip as much. Putting it in a bun would've just been a disaster.
"Here." He handed me his red, nike sweatshirt.
"Thanks." Sweatshirts: the easiest way to hide the fact that you're not wearing a bra.
We both put on our slippers, Zayn grabbed his wallet and our phones before we walked out to the garage. Grabbing the keys off the hook as we passed it, he unlocked the car and I opened the garage. Climbing into the car, I was trying not to panic.
The drive to walmart wasn't a long one. We had to go into town, so that took about five minutes, and then getting to walmart was only another few. But, Zayn looked so nervous. He was bouncing his left knee a lot, so I grabbed his spare hand. He always drove with one wrist draped over the steering wheel. I was starting to notice that when he was mad at me, it was his right arm - like it separated us. In that moment, it was his left hand he was driving with - as if he was welcoming me in...like he needed me. So I grabbed his hand. He didn't look at me, but when our fingers intertwined, he squeezed. I squeezed back, and he lifted our hands up to his mouth, kissing the back of mine. It was sweet, but I really felt like he needed it more than I did.
When we got to the store, I asked the nearest worker where the pharmacy was. We came upon an eisle that had a section called 'prenatal care', and decided might as well start there. I had a feeling that what we were looking for wouldn't be there, but it was the best option that had presented itself.
