Sam's POV

I awoke from my slumber... I groan when I checked the time... it's only 2 in the morning. I had a nightmare once again, yes I have nightmares since the lost of my little sister and the death of my parents it's rarely occurs like this night once again. I sat up unable to sleep once again. I step out our dorm walking down to the common room. I plop on the couch sighing thinking about my life once again. Yes I'm happy that I can call the Clearwater's family... but I still feel incomplete and I'm still hoping that I will find Aurora. I know she's still out there... I missed my family so much... A silent tear escaped my eye I quickly wiped it away... crying is for weak people... its so stupid " Sam? " I jump turning around in panic I sigh seeing a certain black haired boy " O-oh... It's just you Ace you scared me " I say my voice slightly cracking. " Something wrong? You look bothered? " He ask sitting next to me his face showed concern and worry why would he worry? I mean we just met yesterday... it's not like were friends of anything " Oh... It's nothing just... thinking... " I muttered " Whatcha thinking? " I looked at him only to look away... he's cute... wait... What the Fuck! Keep it Together Samantha... " It's nothing... Why are you up anyways? " I ask changing the subject " Well... I just heard footsteps and a creaking sound... so I figured I checked who it is... and I saw you... " he said he's eyes never leaving my face... " Oh... okay " I said simply... hoping he doesn't ask anymore... " Sam... are you really okay? " He ask... comming closer... I scooted away... " Why would you ask...? I mean we just met... It's not like it bothers you " I said quietly. He sighs " Sam... I'm you... friend it bothers me too... " My eyes looked at his I can't help but notice a hint of disspointment in his tone when he said the word friend... " Tell me Sam... I'm your friend... I'm here to listen " He said softly... I nodded looking away...
" Well... I was thinking about my family... " " The Clearwater's? " I shake my head " Nope... My real family... " He still looks at me waiting for me to continue
" I just missed them... my real family... I know I have the Clearwater's but... I still missed them so much... and I wonder where is my little sister... " He came closer to me " If you don't mind me asking... what happened to your family? " I stared at him " I-Its fine if you don't want to! " He panicked his face dusted with a pink hue. I smile... " It's fine... " I said I took a deep breath " Well... I was only 7 when my little sister Aurora went missing... we kept on looking for her... after a year she never been found... and my mother and father gave up and lost hope... but I never loosed hope... I know she's still out there somewhere... Then... after years m-my parents t-they... " I paused covering my mouth to prevent a sob comming out... tears started to escape from my eyes... I'm such a weakling... Ace notice this pulling me into a hug I flinch at the sudden gesture... He's warm... " Shhh... It's okay... let it out... " He said softly... " N-no... crying is for weak people... its makes me look stupid " " It's alright to cry Sam... your not weak when you cry... it means you have been strong for too long... " I broke down... crying in his shoulder

Ace's POV

I felt sorry for her... she have been through alot...loosing a family is hard... It bothers me to see her like this... I hug her shaking body tighter... her body radiate a cold yet welcoming feeling... She soon calmed down... she sadly pulled away wiping her cheek sniffling... " Thanks Ace... I look ridiculous right now... " I put a hand on her shoulder " Hey... It's fine... If you wanted someone to talk to I'm here okay? And there's Ian... " She nodded smiling. I look away blushing at how close we are now... I didn't budge... I admit... I had feelings for her... you know... like love at first sight... But I think its stupid... I just met her... I checked my watch... It's already 3... welp we talked for an hour. I finally looked at her fully... she was wearing cute pajamas with teddy bears as design... she looks like a kid. She stood up " I should be going to my dorm now... Thanks Ace... for being my friend " I smile " No problem I should probably head to mine too " I sad standing up as well... she suddenly got on her tippy toes kissing my check... She look away " Bye Ace " She said before going upstairs. I stood there dumbfounded watching her retreating figure. I touch my cheek... the coldness of her lips still lingered. I smile... Going up to my dorm as well.

Sam's POV

I enter the dorm room. I proceed to the bathroom taking a warm bath. I dry my wet blue locks walking out the bathroom in my robe. Sky was already awake sitting in her bed... " Your up early? " She smirk. " Well I woke up a moment ago and I couldn't go back to sleep so I just took a bath " I half Lied... well It's kinda true that I couldn't go back to sleep... I wore my school uniform... well It's alittle big for me but overall its okay. I comb my hair thinking it would be best if I just do a half-do. I'm not a big fan of make-ups and all girly like shits... But I touch up a bit... just a natural look will do... I put on my shoe and grab my mint green bag slinging it on my shoulder. " Sky! I'll be at the common room! " I heard an 'Okay' from the bathroom. I walk down to the common room taking a seat on the couch. Why is this couch so freaking comfy!!! The couch suddenly dipped I look to my side to see my brother " Morning Sis " He said yawning abit " Morning Ian... you seem tired? " He yawn again before answering " Well.... I was playing Video Games last night " He said I laugh " Again? " I said pretending to be serious but failed miserably " Whatever " He chuckled ruffling my hair I swat his hand away pouting as I blew a strand away from my face. Finally Others came filling the common room. " Well let's go... It's time for breakfast " Joseph said walking ahead of us. Me and Sky trail behind the others " You what? " She whispered yelled " Yes... I kissed his cheek " I said blushing. Sky smirks " Somebody have a crush~ " She said in a sing song voice.
" Sky keep your voice down! " I hiss " I'm gonna tell Ace! " I shus her " No! I don't like him! We just met thats just stupid! " I said crossing my arms. " Ohh alright then If you say so~ " She smirk walking ahead of me.

We entered the Grand Hall... other student soon started to enter... I was about to walk to the table when I bumped into someone." Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! " I panicked bowing " Watch where your going! " the person said... I look up to see a boy with fiery Red hair and yellow eyes that glares at me " I'm so sorry Mr. - " " Shut Up I don't want your excuse! Get out of my way! " He said pushing me I stumble abit good thing I quickly caught myself. I sigh ' Great bad impression on my first day of class... just great! ' I take a seat next to Sky " Hey what took you so long? " She ask I sigh filling my plate with food " Well I bumped into someone... " I said starting to eat " Well who? " I look around spotting the boy who was eating alone. Sky followed my gaze looking at the boy as well... " You bumped into Red?! " She said half yelled " Who bumped to who? " Ian suddenly pipped in " Well... Sam here bumped into Red..." Joseph said taking a sip from his tea, book in hand " You were listening? " Sky ask Jospeh " Your voice was audible I can't help but to listen " He said casually still looking at his book. " What about that boy? " I said looking at the boy who is now reading a book " He's a trouble maker... He part of a wealthy family He's a fire bender... he uses his richness to get what he want... He always makes commotions... involves in gang fights and he even burned half of the Schools forest because of anger issues! " Nash said her eyebrows furrowed... " I heard rumors that his family uses black magic and kills people using thier corps and blood for rituals " Athena who was quiet the whole time spoke up " I don't trust the dude... " Ian said glaring at the said boy " Me too... " Ace said agreeing with my brother his eyes staring at me with an unreadable epression " Did you guyz get to know him? " I ask looking at them accusingly...well don't judge a book by its cover " Nope! Why would we! He always Isolate himself from everyone! " Sky finished. I look at the boy before continuing on my breakfast. I'll try to make friends with him later... maybe he's nicer than he looks " Come on guyz it's almost start of class... I don't wanna be late on my first day! " I cheered they laugh standing up Ace came up to me " Let's walk together " He said smiling I blush nodding. We started walking me and Ace trailed behind " Oh and Sam? " I hum in respond looking at him curiously " You look cute in a school uniform " He said making me go red " T-Thank you f-for the complement... " I sttuter damn! I sound stupid! " Come on you two! Hurry up! We don't wanna be late! " Joseph shouted " We're comming! " Ace said Grabbing my hand walking with the gangs.
