The night after dinner was simple. After my shower I pulled a red shirt of Thor's on and a pair of my black leggings. I brushed my wet hair and left it to air-dry then stepped out of the closet and walked over to the bed. I pulled the blankets back and crawled in next to Thor.

I grabbed the remote for my tv off the bedside table and turned the tv on. I scrolled until I found a movie channel. It was playing a documentary on the Avengers so I put the remote down next to me and currled up next to Thor. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and I laid my head on his chest. He rested his chin on my head as I watched the film.

They were covering what the Battle of New York did to some of the people who were in it or hurt. Tony was interviewed because he likes the attention. The rest of the Avengers refused, even Bruce. "What was it like?" I asked Thor while pictures of the battle rolled through the screen.

"Chaotic. There was building rubble everywhere, no one knew exactly what we were up against." he explained. I nodded slightly and remembered what I was doing.

~Flashback~

I was sat in one of the SHELD dorm rooms, doodling on one of my notebooks. I had my markers and pens spread across the floor with Don't by Ed Sheeren blaring though the speakers thanks to JARVIS. I was in the middle of the song when the music cut of abruptly and JARVIS's voice filled the air instead. "Ma'am? You have a visitor." he said.

"Who?" i asked, shoving the art supplies into the small bag I have for them.

"It seems to be Mr. Rodgers. Should I let him in?"

"Yes. Tell him I'll be right out." I said, throwing my supplies into my desk drawer. I opened my door as the song resumed. I sang to the lyrics until I saw Steve in his uniform. "JARVIS, stop the music." I called into the air. The stale silence filled the room instead of the song. "What's going on?" I asked.

He looked down at his red-ish boots. "I have to go and I want you to stay here." he said.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, moving closer to him.

"New York is under attack. Loki has brought an army here to rule us. He thinks we will just give him the title of king." Steve looked up to me. "No, you cant come." he said, answering the question i had in my eyes.

My eyes widened. "I could help. You know I could." I whined. He looked at me with the look that said 'don't push it.' I sighed and gave up. "Fine. Where do I have to stay? I know you wont let me stay here." I said.

He nodded his head. "Right. Tony is going to take you to a little city about twenty miles from here. It shouldn't get hit like New York." he said. I nodded my head and walked up to him.

"Be careful ok? You better come back to me. I cant lose another family member." I said. I walked up to him and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me close to him. "Promise me." I whispered.

"I promise." he said back. I nodded and hugged him tighter. When I started to sniffle he pulled away slightly. "Hey, I'll be back and you'll be safe. I promise. I couldn't leave you." he said, placing a kiss on the top of my head.

"Thanks. Where do I meet Stark?" I asked, laughing slightly at the nickname Steve gave Tony a year or so ago.

~End~

Thor's arm tightened around me. "You must have been scared." he said. I nodded and turned the TV off. I curled up next to him and snuggled deeper into the blankets. The darkness of steep tried to surround me and I fell into a dream filled sleep

That was the first day that Thor had talked to me. Loki had found out how important I was to the Avengers somehow and followed Tony to the 'safe house' I was dropped at. An hour into the battle I was met with a knock on the door. I opened the light brown door and there stood a man with black and green armor with gold accents. His black hair was slicked back with a golden helmet on his head with two horns on it.
