B/n - Brother's name

Four weeks flew by, and they haven't caught Arlo yet. You cut and styled your hair differently. You've changed the way you dressed, and used a tad bit more makeup. You've been itching to see Spencer but so far, you haven't heard anything from him anymore. The first week he would always try and text you or call you just to hear your voice. The second week he only called twice. Last week and this week he hasn't called or sent a text. Since you basically had to stay in a small home all day and had virtually no contact with the people you love, you brushed up on some old hobbies. You learned how to sketch, dabbled in watercolors, tried perfecting a full face of makeup, and even practiced singing and dancing. The security in charge of protecting you got a real kick out of that.

"Yeah, no...I know that, stupid. Well, you were the one who thought it was a good idea to go to a party on a school night, not me! Huh? Oh...alright. I'll talk to you later. Bye, B/n. Say hi to dad for me!" You hung up the phone and sighed. You put your head on the coffee table, feeling terribly isolated. Tears welled up in your eyes as you thought about the last time you saw your friends and family. You picked up your phone and checked for any new messages from Spencer. Nothing...7:25 pm and no messages at all. You dialed his number and hoped he would answer. Your heart dropped as you heard his voicemail play. You let out a shaky sigh. At least you can sort of hear his voice, right?

"Uh, hey babe. There's nothing wrong or anything like that...I just wanted to talk. I-I miss you...Love you...bye." You tried your best to not sound like you were crying. Hours passed, you grew desperate to hear Spencer. You decided to call him again.

"Yes! What!?" Spencer said exasperated. His snappy tone startled you.

"Uh...is this a bad time to call?" You asked hesitantly.

"Y/n! I- I'm sorry I'm just- busy right now...can-can I call you back later?" Spencer asked. By the tone of his voice, you doubted that he'll try to call you back at all.

"Uh... yeah I-I guess." You stuttered.

"Okay great." Spencer replied

"A-alright love-" You started. Spencer hung up.

"-you..." You finished. You rubbed your temples and placed your phone onto your nightstand. You felt distraught and helpless. Your sadness turned to anger. None of this would've happened if Arlo was locked up tight, right? You would be home and everything would perfect...But it seems that fate has other intentions. Now you're stuck in a house that isn't yours with people watching your every move. Hot, angry tears streamed down your face. You curled up and cried, feeling as if you made the worst mistake of your life. All you can do now is hope that tomorrow would be a better day...

Tomorrow would be a better day...
