You two finally arrived at The Blue Rose. Your anxiety ate up at you as you stared at the neon blue rose on one of the windows. You weren't comfortable having people look at you with a dress that barely covered your body. You chewed at your lip.

"Don't worry Y/n. You...you look perfect." Spencer said. You scanned his face, trying to figure out if he was lying, but he seemed to genuinely mean it.

"Thanks, Spence..." You smiled, a real smile. Your cheeks heated up. Spencer's heart leaped with joy hearing you call his name, he hopes he's making progress in making amends. He smiled as he got out of the car. You took a deep breath and followed after.

"Hey, wait." You called to Spencer. He turned around confused.

"Lose the sweater vest and tie. It's cute and perfect on you, but if I'm going to be uncomfortable you have to be with me." You said in a bit of a teasing way, sticking your tongue between your teeth. Spencer's own cheeks heated up, wanting to ask if you really mean that he was cute. You didn't even notice that you called him that. He nodded and took off his tie and sweater and threw it in the car.

"Here" You said as you unbuttoned two buttons and fixed his hair a bit. Your touch sent chills down his spine, ghosting him as you let go. Spencer couldn't help but laugh as you looked so concentrated in fixing his hair. You felt embarrassed, you thought he was making fun of you.

"There, now we're ready to party." You said with a cheeky smile. Spencer smiled and shook his head. You two walked towards the entrance where a man carrying a box stood there.

"Take a mask and go." He said in a bored tone. You looked at him puzzled.

"Um, I'm sorry. What?" You said confused. Your heart stopped. How can you catch your unsub now?

"Masquerade today. Now take a mask for you and your boyfriend and go." He said.

"I-I'm not her boyfr-"

"Thanks" You said as you quickly got the masks and entered the club. Spencer looked at you puzzled.

"Don't ask. Just put on the mask, okay?" You said, uncomfortable with the situation you put yourself in.
You put on your mask, it was gold with a beautiful butterfly design. Spencer's was also gold with designs similar to yours, instead of a butterfly, there was a small crown in the middle. Spencer put his mask on after you.

"How are we gonna catch him now?" You said, crossing your arms as you chewed on your lip.

"We can always try the bar." Spencer offered.

"No, I-"

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I HOPE YOU'RE HAVING A GOOD NIGHT. 'CAUSE THE STAGE IS NOW OPEN, COME ON AND SING THE NIGHT AWAY!" A man with a black mask said.

"That's how we get his attention! Y/n you have to sing." Spencer said

"W-what? I-I can't...I don't-" You stuttered

"C'mon Y/n, I know you hate this but it might be our only way in catching him." Spencer said. The look in his eyes made your stomach drop.

"F-Fine." You said. Spencer followed you and sat to a table closest to the stage. You walked up and told the D.J what song you wanted to sing. It was a song your father showed you and you've been in love with it ever since. You and your father were always close, early memories of dancing with him to this song rose up. You couldn't help but smile.
