Aria in media

"Cause if you hold onto it, it will fuck you up for the rest of your life."

Aria
"Just tell us where you were at 9:14a.m. on August 24th?"

I've been in this cold, interrogation room for about 3 hours. I've remained silent this entire time and I could tell the detectives were getting annoyed with me.

"Being silent isn't helping your case!" He gritted through his yellow teeth, slamming his hands down onto the table.

I continued to give him a blank stare.

I'm not sure what or who I was waiting for. I definitely didn't have a lawyer, but I'm sure Dave has someone coming, if not himself.

"You're just another dumb whore." He said slamming the door on his way out.

I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding. I dropped my head into my hands and instantly began crying again.

I couldn't believe my mother was dead.

No, she wasn't the best mom. But it wasn't always like that. No one wants to bury their mom. Who could've done this? Why?

These were all the thoughts that ran across my mind the entire time. But also, what led them to thinking that I killed her?

"You know what I think?" I looked up to see a female detective walked in. This one was black.

She strutted all the way to the table. Her long, dark brown hair was slicked perfectly into a bun. Her cherry red lips were in a perfect smile. Her never breaking eye contact with me, made me anxious. It was almost as if she never blinked.

"I think you didn't do this." She cheesed, showing her pearly white teeth and the piece of gum she was chewing on.

"Men." She said shaking her head, pulling out paperwork.

"They use us, use us and use us some more until we are worn down to them. Then they throw us away."

I remained silent, listening to her banter.

"You're a young girl, Aria. You just turned 18. You can still live your life, go to college, travel the world, have kids, do whatever you want. Don't throw it away for some boy." She continued.

"Dave did this Aria." When she said that, my chest got heavier. The thought of Dave killing my mother never crossed my mind. He would never do that. Would he?

"Dave killed your mother. And he's letting you take the wrap for it. He's not going to save you Aria. Don't you think he would've been here by now?"

That statement alone put me into a deeper thought. Wouldn't he already be here? Why would he even allow this to happen? It's been over 3 hours and I was still sitting in this interrogation room. Did he even care?

"Just tell us that Dave did-..."

"Do you ever get tired of this song and dance Veronica?" A tall, gorgeous, hispanic looking woman bursted into the room with an annoyed look on her face said.

The officer rolled her eyes, cursing under her breath.

"Rodriguez, I assume this is your client." She said, standing.

"Absolutely, and I don't need you or your moron coworkers harassing her when I'm not present." She said taking a seat next to me.

"We'll be in touch Aria. Remember what I said." The officer winked before leaving out.

"I'm Valencia Rodriguez. I'm your lawyer on this case. Sorry it took so long."

"L-l.."

"Yes, I'm Dave's lawyer. But I'm yours too now." She giggled.
