"You're the snake"
Aria
"I just dropped Kayden off at Ms. Tina's house, send me the address." I spoke to Janay over the phone. We were meeting Candy and the other stylists and models at the venue for the final fitting and walk through.
"Damn. I know ma cooked, you got me a plate?" She said smacking her lips. This bitch is eating as we speak.
"I got to go plates for all of us."
"This is why I keep you around. I sent you the address. Drive safe. Love you."
"Love you too." I said ending the call through the button on the steering wheel.
I was pretty excited, but nervous. I've always kept myself up strictly to make sure I could eat everyday. Living off of men was a way to survive. But I've learned that looks aren't everything. My mindset has completely changed from that.
I think Kayden plays a big part in me maturing. Even though Dave spoils me to death, Kayden taught me that there are more important things in life than followers, niggas and Louis Vuitton. He taught me that family is really everything. I'm so blessed to have him, Dave and Nay.
Although I'm doing this for Nay, modeling and hosting isn't really my thing. People think because of the amount of followers I have, all the clothes I have and who I'm with that I love the spotlight, but I don't.
Mama Tina's words keep replaying in my head. She gave me the boost I needed to get serious about my bakery. However my mind can't stray from the 'what if's'. What if I fail? What if people don't like my deserts? What if I can't find the space for it? It could just be me being my worst enemy, but it's hard when everyone from your city turned out the same. Selling crack, or on it. Most girls like me just go where the money is, which is being brand ambassadors and hosting. But I've never wanted that. I guess I'm afraid of failing. Girls like me from the roughest part of Morgan don't open their own bakeries
I just hope to have Dave's support.
Noticing I was under half a tank, I pulled over to the gas station.
"Ayo ma!"
"You thick as hell."
"That's Dave's bitch?"
"Is that Ari?"
"Let me pump your gas."
I put my shades on ignoring all the thirsty ass niggas. I paid for my gas inside before walking back to the pump. But I noticed that someone was standing next to my car.
"Excuse you." I said.
"My bad ma. Aw shit, you Dave's girl Ari" He smirked. I rolled my eyes, continuing to pump my gas.
"I'm Meek. One of his close friends."
"Never heard of you." I said, not really interested in what he was talking about.
"He's secretive like that." He continued.
"He told me to come up here and bring you to where he is. He said he needed you."
"Why didn't he call me? He knows I-"
"Get the fuck in the car." He said through his teeth as he held a gun at my stomach.
I held my hands up, slowly trailing my eyes from the gun, to his eyes.
They were black and held no emotion.
I quickly reached for the gun.
POW!
