I was still reeling from how cool Tanya was. She had gave me two bottles of prenatal vitamins and some other creams and bottles that would help me. She also told me to drink a lot of water and tea and try to eat as healthy as I could. When I told her I had been on a water only diet she almost blew a casket, and made sure to give me some fish oil pills. With all the stuff she gave me I could start a Pregnancy clinic if I wanted to. Or at least a pharmacy.

"You okay?" Daniel asked when I came back into his room after receiving all the gifts from Tanya.

I didn't have to think about an answer. "You know I am. I admit I was worried earlier about telling your mom, but I'm really glad we did. And not just because I get dinner out of it, but you know it just feels right." It also felt more real. Before it seemed like the worst thing to ever happen to me since my moms death, and now it almost felt normal.

"And just think after you tell your dad you'll feel that much more better." I knew this wasn't true. My dad wasn't abusive or anything like that, but he was stern. He was never home and expected me to raise myself and have everything put together. It had been hard, learning about sex, clothes, friends, boys, and everything else through friends and anyway I could. I remember one time I literally googled what sex was when I was in sixth grade because I was too afraid to ask my dad. Even if I had asked him he wouldn't have been around to ask.

I sighed and plopped down next to Daniel. He made a dash towards my stomach, but I turned on my side before he could.

"You're seriously not going to let me touch my baby-

"Not until it's obvious that ones there." He put his hand on my waist, moving slightly towards my stomach. "I mean it." I scowled him. We both laughed and he kissed my neck. "Daniel?" He kept kissing my neck.

"Hmm?"

"So are we together?"

"Uh hmm." I pushed him back.

"This is serious." He groaned.

"Okay." He cleared his throat. "Lydia Hawley, will you be my girlfriend and mother of my child?" I playfully hit him in the chest.

"You're such a dork." He was smiling. He was pretty cute when he did that. I thought back to Rachel and my friend's texts. If Rachel and Chloe only knew that Daniel and I were about to have a baby. I wonder if they would keep pestering us about Daniel and Rachel dating. I bet they still would because they were just those kind of people.

"So what is your step dad like?" I asked changing the subject, since he wasn't going to tell me about Teresa. He didn't realize that by not telling me made me think of the worst things possible. But from what Tanya said about her I'm guessing she is family. A sister? But I thought he only had Ethan and Hailey as siblings.

Daniel didn't even pause to think. "He's great." We laughed at his abruptness. "No, I mean he's not like usual stepparents, whatever that means. He um you know pretty much raised me. My dad wasn't any good, and my mom had tried to do her best with me, but yeah when they met and started dating I was honest with the two of them from the get-go and said I didn't mind if they married. Two months later they were engaged. It was fast they had only been dating a year before they married, but look at 'em now." He gestured towards the house.

I had to admit their family seemed really nice.

What if this tore the family apart? I didn't think it would from Tanya's reaction, but what if the step-dad didn't like me.

"Oh. Well that's good." My thoughts were scattered. Unknowingly, I started to stroke my belly, it was oddly soothing.

"That's not fair." He pointed at me stomach. "You can, but I can't?" All I did was smirk.
