Chapter 7: Earning Trust

Astrid
Even though I've only been here for two months, I already feel right at home. Everyone was cautious of me at first but after me and Stormfly saved a group of Rumblehorn hatchlings, they treated me like I was one of their own.
Flashback/ switch to third
Astrid was strolling through the woods surrounding the town, Stormfly trailling behind her. The pair just walked past the dragon nursery when a small clutch -of about four hatchlings- of Rumblehorns ran in front of the two. Then there was a roar of a Rumblehorn, a colorful female trotted after the clutch soon after. Astrid didn't have to understand dragonese to know that the female was scolding the hatchlings. Dragon and rider looked at each other before laughing. A high pitched screech of terror made Astrid bolt in the direction the hatchlings ran off. Stormfly followed her rider without a second thought.
Once they found the hatchlings they saw one in the talons of a Titanwing Monstrous Nightmare (the one from the show). The others were huddled together, shaking violently.
"Hey" Astrid yelled at the dragon, she successfully drew the dragons attention away from the hatchlings. He let the hatchling go, but charged at them. They, however, saw that coming and Astrid volted onto Stormflys' saddle (from HTTYD 2) and rocketed into the sky. The dragon chased after them.
"To the Dome, Stormfly" Astrid told her dragon (same chase as Snotlouts', Hicca replaces the twins). As Stormfly landed, and the Titanwing flew away, the clutch of Rumblehorns ran up and tackled Astrid to the ground. Licking her face, chirping and purring, once she was able to sit up she saw the same colorful female Rumblehorn walk up to her. She was able to move to were she sat on her legs, she turned her head away and stretched out her left-hand to the dragoness. Everyone around the Dome watched as Sahara, the Rumblehorn, closed her eyes and pressed her snout into the riders hand.
End of Flashback/ back to Astrid
After that some people started calling me Basilah. I asked Hiccup what it meant one day, he told me it means 'Brave, Fearless'. Because of how I 'tamed' Hookfang and that Sahara let me touch her. Hiccup told me that the move I did is a universal sign of trust, one all creachers used.
"Good morning Basilah" a woman said as she passed me.
"Morning" I nodded my head to her. I was walking threw town, on my way to the 'Nest' as people call it.
Hiccup
I watched as Astrid walked through town. Toothless was sitting next to me on the cliff.
"You ever gonna tell her" he teased, poking my side with his head.
"I don't know bud" he snorted at me and whispered 'pussy' under his breath. I punched him in his shoulder, not hard enough to hurt him but enough for him to rub it in pain.
"Why" he growled at me. I didn't answer him, I kept my eyes on Astrid. Looks like she's going to the Nest. I stood up, hopped on Toothless' back, and told him to head to the Nest.
