*Y/n POV*
I charged into the flight command center, forcing the door open against the cold and snow.
"What's going on!?" I shouted, "Who set off the alarm?"
"I did, sir!" The head elf of this department, Alphie, answered, "We've got bad news!"
"What's wrong? Did Rudolph catch a cold over Brazil again?"
"No sir!" He said, walking over to a screen, "Look, Santa's gone missing!"
"What?!"
I grabbed the portable screen from his hands, looking it over. It showed a map of East Asia, with a dashed line going between countries and ending over Japan. At the end of the line was a flashing red X, blinking rapidly.
"Get the map up on the big screen," I ordered a nearby elf at a computer, "Get me a location."
"Aye aye, sir!"
I wanted to panic. Of course I did, my father had gone missing in Japan without a trace. But now is not the time for that. Right now, I have be the responsible one, I have to be a leader.
That shit terrifies me.
"Map is up on the big screen!"
I looked up to the massive screen that was against the wall of the command center. There were rows and rows of elves in front of me, each one wrapping in a semi-circle around the platform I stood on. Each elf was tapping away on their computer, trying frantically to find Santa.
"Sir, sir!" One of the elves at the bottom yelled, "I have a location!"
"Get it up on the big screen!" Alphie shouted his order, "We haven't got enough time to wait!"
A few more keys were tapped, and the map zoomed it tightly on Japan. A dashed line formed dash by dash, surrounding an area of the map. The name of the city shot onto the screen.
"Mustafu," I said, "Good job. I'm going to prepare."
"Prepare for what?" Alphie asked.
"Somebody's gotta go find him," I said, walking towards the door, "And I'm the only one who can go."
I pushed the door open and walked towards the workshop, holding my hand up to keep the snow out of my eyes. When I finally reached the oak wood door of the workshop, I forced it open and quickly walked inside, slamming it shut.
I walked upstairs and into my make-shift office, which used to be an empty closet. It had my stuff though, and I began to throw all of it into a special bag that I had been given as a birthday gift many years ago. The bag was small, but could hold any amount of items without growing any size.
I threw in my journal and a map of the world, which could also change to show me any city or country in the planet. It also had a small blinking light that showed me where I was at any point in time.
A knock at the door stopped me in my tracks. I slowly stood back up and turned around, coming face to face with a terrifying force.
"...Hey Mom."
She stood there with her arms crossed, a miffed expression crossing her face.
"So, you hear that-"
"I heard," She said, walking towards me, "If you're thinking of going after him, take a rest there kid."
I sighed, "I can't Mom, he's in trouble."
"I know," She said, grabbing my hands, "And I'm not saying you can't go. I'm only saying that you should give us proper time to prepare."
"Fine," I sighed, "But we don't have much time."
"It's okay," She said, rubbing her hands over mine, "We Clauses have a way of making things work out."
*Izuku POV*
I sat at my desk, looking up at the sky. As I did, I found my mind wandering.
What if Bakugo was right? What if there is no Santa?
I mean, if there was no Santa, what would be the point of Christmas? What would be the point in celebrating?
I mean...
NO! No! Bakugo is wrong! Of course Santa exists, he has to! Who else would've been bringing all those gifts all these years?
"Of course he exists!" I said to myself, "And I'll know for sure when Christmas comes as sure as always!"
With that, I tucked myself into bed, turning the lights off and drifting into the land of dreams.
