*Y/n POV*
A few hours later, Comet dropped altitude as we began to come over Mustafu. I could see the city below, and found an empty park covered in fresh snow to land in.
"There Comet," I said, pointing, "Land down there, boy."
He grunted in response and I gripped tightly to the harness, as we dropped down a few hundred feet. When we finally came down, the landing was surprisingly easy. The snow crunched underneath Comet's feet, and we came to an easy stop.
"Alright," I said, leaping off Comet's back, "Where are we supposed to go?"
Suddenly, my watch began to beep, and I lifted my arm. I noticed that something was tucked underneath my watch, and pulled it out.
"Dear Y/n," It read, "Since I know you didn't listen at all when I explained the plan to you, I figured I get Mrs.Claus to hide this where you'd see it. We installed a feature on your watch that allows you to track the largest source of Christmas Cheer in the nearby area. It should lead you immediately to Santa, given that he is literally Christmas Spirit. Find him and find the reindeer, then get home ASAP. We don't have enough time to waste.
The elf in command,
Alphie"
"Hmm," I noted, "Neat. How does it work? Do I..."
I pulled on the knob of my watch and the face flipped over to reveal a grid of green squares, like a submarine tracker. A line with its bottom in the middle, my position, began to circle around. When it passed by, a red dot appeared far away.
"Okay then," I pointed, "Let's go that way."
Comet followed behind, as we walked towards the city.
*Third Person POV*
As Y/n and Comet began to walk through the town, getting looks and glances from passerby, Y/n began to hum a tune. As it often does, humming evolved into singing, as Y/n passed through the town.
"Let it be Christmas, everywhere," He began to sing, "In the hearts of all people both near and a far..."
As he began to sing, the world around him seemed brighter, softer. People who walked by with hunched backs or heavy frowns immediately changed, growing massive smiles and straightening their posture.
"Christmas everywhere," He continued to sing, "Feel the love of the season wherever you are..."
A slight snowfall began, slowly dropping snowflakes on the street and buildings. Children began to laugh and run around as they played and enjoyed the fresh snowfall.
"On the small country roads lined with green mistletoe..."
Y/n walked past a couple huddling in a doorway. As he passed by, singing his joyous tune, a piece of mistletoe grew above the young couple. They both blushed and giggled, before commencing with the Christmas-time tradition.
"Big city streets where a thousand lights glow..."
Strings of Christmas lights lit up along the buildings, lining the street in a bath of blinking red, blue, yellow, and green light. Light displays appeared on each building, depicting a large Santa that walked between buildings.
"Let it be Christmas everywhere," He sang, "Let heavenly music fill the air..."
Suddenly a choir began to sing from nowhere. They sang perfectly in tune with Y/n, and the people of Mustafu began to sing along.
"Let every heart sing let every bell ring..."
The chorus of bells from the charity Santas began to ring in time with the music, providing the background for Y/n's song.
"The story of hope and joy and peace," He sang, Comet swaying behind him, "And let it be Christmas everywhere..."
"Let it be Christmas everywhere..."
