I'm just gonna make this quick and to the point...there are too many herbs, teas and oils out there so I'm just gonna mention the ones I use in my craft and my favorite teas.

When I first started working in the craft the 3 herbs I always had where, Rose, Lavender, and Orange peel. My first oils were Lavender, Patchouli, and Clary Sage. And I got all these oils at Walmart, and the herbs from the soap section in Hobby Lobby (NOW THE HERBS IN THE SOAP SECTION IN HOBBY LOBBY ARENT MADE TO BE EDIBLE..I WAS BEING STUPID AND MAKING TEAS WITH THEM AND IT TASTED LIKE SOAP!) The teas I started getting into was everyone that wasn't black tea. The only black teas that I like now are any that have floral herbs in it. My favorite tea, the best one in the WORLD to me is Lavender and Chamomile from Traditional Medicine. If you're a witch like me that loves the woods and just wants to be isolated in the middle of nowhere with nature herself and a few cats, this tea is for you...hehe. I really don't know how to explain it, it just had this certain smell and tastes that help me manifest my dream home and life. When it brews, I can just close my eyes and see myself sitting in my cabin-like home with my cat in my lap sippin' away.

Here are some really good beginner herbs that are easy to find and are basically right under your nose. Especially if you are under 18, and trying to practice in a Christain/Catholic home.

Rose: love spells, self-love, passion, lust, close friendship, domestic peace/happiness, and lasting relationships.

Rosemary: carried around for good health, love/lust spells, dream protector, clear thinking, removing negativity and purification.

Lavender: love, protection, healing from depression, calms anxiety, great for sleep, peace, and stress reducer.

Lemon: cleaning, spiritual opening, purification, removal of blockages. Put a lemon in some water, or witch hazel and spray it around your home to remove negativity.

Cloves: protection, banishing hostility, gaining what is sought, burned to stop gossip, and mental clarity

Oregano: protection, happiness, luck, abundance

Orange: attracts abundance, happiness through love and marriage, concentrate on a yes/no question while eating an orange and count the seeds. An odd number means yes, Even number means no.

These were the herbs I started out with, and if you buy the 100% essential oil of each of the herbs you have you can make sprays, candles, soaps, etc. with the same properties as the dried herbs.
