NOT ALL WITCHES ARE EVIL! (but there are evil witches)
From the time of the Salem Witch Trails everyone, being everyone that is Catholic or Christian, has thought that we are devil worshipers, and this is where the stereotypes come to play. Back in the day, as in during the trails, we were known as the Devil's Whores, to be honest, I quite like that nickname, has a nice ring to it. When most people hear the word which they think of a woman...here's your first stereotype. A witch has no gender norms. A witch is a healer, and a healer has no gender either. Men may be witches, and women may be witches and anything in between may be a witch! You can be white and be a witch, black and be a witch, Mexican and be a witch...there are no rules!
Yes some of us do have crystal balls, a black cauldron, a hundred black cats, and live in the woods. Some of us have poisonous positions and have a sinister crackle as we stir our bubbling cauldron. None of us are wicked, but some will say they are. Witches are young, middle age, and old. We all are the maiden, the mothers, and the crones.
Beginner witches will fear to work with the undead, and with old spirits, but they have been working with you all along, and you've had no fear then so why should you fear now?
The reality of being a witch is being a teacher, a healer, and knowing your magick and how to control it. Using your magick for the better, and protection either good or evil. Sometimes we need to bless, others to curse. We garden and care for the Earth, for she is our mother and creator. She is the greater divine. Witches help other witches grow, and that is just what I am doing with every one of you that reads this. You are the beloved, no matter who you are, what you look like, who you work with, or what kind of magick that you perform
Cast your circles, dance naked under the full moon, make charms for you and your friends and family. Dance with the wind, gossip with the moon, chant to the stars, and be the most witch-est you that you can be. Blessed be Beloved. You are the Emperess. You are the Emperor.
