Schlatt reflects on his friends and himself.
(lowercase intentional)
(i had realized this story is a bit long, and i already have another story coming up that'll be a bit longer... oops)
~

he woke up with a start. it was morning, which he could just tell, thanks to the light coming through the blinds. he got up, stretched, and went on to do his daily morning routine.

since he was on break for school, he didn't really have much to do, so he planned on streaming that night. it wasn't going to be much. perhaps he would do a mining stream. he didn't want to do anything big that day, so a relaxing and chill stream would work.

sitting himself down at his chair, he started to work on editing for a video. not even a few seconds later, he had gotten a discord notification from his friend, carson.

it was a small message, just asking if he wanted to stream with him, charlie, and travis that night. it would be a gangbeast stream.

he accepted, getting a weird photo in response. he leaned back in his chair and let his mind wander.

the first thing to pop into his mind was, of course, carson.

carson, the man himself. the one who had reached out to schlatt, asking him to join what was thought to just be a simple minecraft server. his video, a tribute to minecraft, seemed to have touched the hearts of multiple people. seeing people able to relate to what he had talked about. carson was one of them. a simple man- a fan of his- watching that video, able to think back to when minecraft was in its early stage in life. so simple and unique. both he and carson shared that interest, and now many more. it was such a simple video. he never knew it would not only change other people's lives, but his as well. gaining friends and having people look up to him in admiration. those he can reach out to and have them reach out to him.

carson was many things. he was charismatic; he had a way with words. he was creative and innovative. he was humorous. he was a fellow member of goop (or fart club, as of now). he was a leader- able to create something and show others and have them follow- but not like followers. like friends that were there, ready to support him.

and most importantly, he was his friend.

his eyes wandered down from his discord friends page, onto the next. he was trapped in his own mind, thinking. reflecting. most of the times, when he got like this, he would stay completely still. or did he move? he couldn't really tell. he never paid attention
to what he did. he only cared about his thoughts.

his eyes focused on charlies icon on discord. ah yeah, the funny guy. if he had to describe him, it would be creative. creative with coming up with ideas; creative with creating things on the fly. he could take anything and work with it, no matter how vague.

it was quite comical, but also quite inspiring. schlatt himself wished he could do the same. sure, he can work with what he's got, but he could never match charlies expertise. he was admirable. but also a bit of a goofus. he seemed smart, but also not. but it wasn't a negative trait. it just added onto him and how he was as a person.

schlatt could never understand how charlie could be so extroverted. but at least he was able to match his energy to the other's energy, and it works well for not only content, but as a bond. their friendship was tight, and only grew tighter with each passing moment.
