Wanda woke up to the sound of bickering coming from what she assumed was the lounge area. She got out of bed and made her way to the lounge to see Jason and Dick fighting like usual. But this time it was different.

"-my mother, Dick! How could he not tell me?" Jason snarled, making Dick roll his eyes.

"He didn't tell you because he knew you would react like this. Be reasonable, do you think your mother wants to see you after all this time? I mean, she could've very easily gotten into contact with you, but hasn't."

Jason glared at his older brother before storming off, pushing past Wanda as he went. Dick groaned, dropping his head into his hands. Wanda cautiously approached, putting her hand on the acrobats shoulder. "What was all that about? Are you two okay?"

Dick sighed, debating telling Wanda before taking a leap of faith. "I'm fine, Jason...not so much." Wanda quirked a brow. "He just found out that Bruce has known his birth mother is alive and was keeping it from him. Needless to say, it did not go over well."

Wanda nodded, ignoring the gnawing feeling in her stomach. "Well, I'm sure he'll come around."

Dick snorted. "Probably after he does something stupid and gets caught by Batman." Wanda chuckled a little. Dick looked up at her and smiled. "Hey, we should take you out."

"Like, on the town or an assassination? Because I am down for both."

Dick chuckled. "Come on, I'll go get the rest of the team."

"Where are we going?"

Dick turned around and winked over his shoulder. "Its a surprise." Wanda followed Dick into the training room where the team was warming up. She watched as Dick whistled and everyone turned to look at the two. Dick motioned for the team to come over and they did, forming a half circle around the duo. "Listen up, we are taking Wanda out on the town-"

"Damn, I was hoping for the assassin option."

Dick ignored Wanda, continuing with his little speech. "-because she has barely left the cave, except for missions. Who's in?"

Everyone nodded in agreement, heading off to their rooms to change into their civvies. Wanda sighed, muttering under her breath about how unnecessary this was. Dick ignored her once more, wandering off to change and leave Wanda by herself near the zeta tubes.

That's when the headache came on.

She grunted, whirling around to glare at the wall. Psimon and Queen Bee appeared in her vision, a trick of Psimon's psychic abilities.

"Wanda, my child, have you started on your mission?" Queen Bee asked, stroking a hand through Wanda's hair and making the young teen shudder.

"Yes, my Queen. I have already started to gather intel." Wanda whispered.

Queen Bee pat her head. "Good, good. We expect to be kept updated, you know how I hate to be out of the loop."

"Of course, my Queen." Wanda bowed her head slightly, her headache fading as the duo left. She quickly wiped the tears out of her eyes when she heard the team returning, turning back around to greet them with a fake smile. "So, where are we going to?"

"Well, I figured we could explore Happy Harbor a bit, show you the lay of the land, y'know?"

Wanda nodded, following after her teammates as they entered the zeta tubes after Dick punched in the coordinates.

They appeared in an alley in Happy Harbor, making sure the coast was clear before walking out onto the sidewalk. Dick led the way, giving a tour of Happy Harbor that Wanda was only half paying attention to, her mind preoccupied by her mission.

She fell into step with Jason, who reluctantly came and was busy sending a death glare at Dick's back. Wanda nudged Jason with her arm, gaining his attention. He scowled at her. "Hey, Dick told me about what happened. That's a really sucky thing for Batman to do, keeping your birth mother from you."

Jason scoffed. "What would you know?"

Wanda rolled her eyes. "My twin was separated from me after we were taken by Cadmus, remember? I know quite a bit about it." Jason nodded in concession, looking down at the ground. Wanda sighed, pushing down the guilt building up inside her. "If you want, I can help you find her?"

Jason whipped his head up at that. "Are you serious?" Wanda nodded. "That would be great, thanks!"

"Of course, what are friends for?" Wanda grit out, clenching her fists at her sides as she reminded herself that she was doing this for Pietro.

All of this was for Pietro.

Jason nodded his chin in the direction of Dick. "Don't let him or the Bats know though, okay?"

"I wouldn't dream of it." Wanda smiled sadly. "When would you like to begin searching for her?"

"As soon as we get back to the cave."

Wanda pat Jason's back, returning her attention to Dick as he led the team into an ice cream shop. He held the door for everyone as they filed inside. Dick walked ahead of the group to the counter. "Get whatever you want, my treat."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course, I am the ward of a billionaire after all." Dick grinned cheekily. "So, its on me."

Zatanna noticed Wanda staring at the flavor options like they personally were responsible for her tragic life. She snickered, throwing an arm around Wanda's shoulder. "Wanda, dear, have you never had ice cream before?"

"Nope, so-"

"What?! How have you not had ice cream?" Wally squawked, looking crushed.

Wanda rolled her eyes. "Gee, I don't know, maybe because the orphanage didn't supply us with treats? And, shockingly, neither did Cadmus?"

"Oh, right." Wally cleared his throat, embarrassed. "Well, personally I like mint chocolate chip."

Wanda nodded, looking over at Zatanna. "What flavor are you getting?"

"Strawberry, its my fav."

Wanda grinned. "I love strawberries, maybe I'll try it too."

Dick told the person behind the counter their orders and a moment later the group was walking out of the shop with their ice cream cones in hand, heading towards the park. They all sat in the grass, eating their ice cream and talking about mundane things.

Nobody saw through Wanda's fake grins and laugh as she dreaded heading back to the cave, knowing what would inevitably come of it.
