This is really short and I apologize, I truly do. I just felt like it was a nice way to end Wanda's story and it fit with the narrative.

Two Months Later...

Wanda groaned as her alarm clock rang, signaling the end of her much needed nap. She sat up and rubbed her tired eyes, stretching her arms high above her head with a big yawn before glancing over a the alarm clock.

"Shit! I am going to be late!" Wanda sprang out of bed and telekinetically flew some clothes out of her dresser over to her, tossing them on and rushing out the door of her tiny apartment the Justice League set her up with in Happy Harbor.

The team had voted that she shouldn't be held in a cell, that doing so would damage her even more psychologically and prolong her sessions with Black Canary. She was grateful for Artemis for sticking up for her and her mental health.

Wanda shook herself from her reminiscing, dashing down an alley and to the zeta tubes, punching in her code and arriving at the Mountain to be greeted by Nightwing and Superboy, who were in the middle of a sparring match. She waved hi to them as she passed them, walking past Kid Flash and Miss Martian in the kitchen and Robin in the hallway. When she walked by Robin she felt a shudder run down her spine as he glared at her.

She knew he had yet to forgive her for almost killing him and it would take a long time before he would, but the glares were a bit unnecessary. She was as much a victim of the Light as he was and thanks to Black Canary, she was finally starting to see that.

When she reached the room that her and Black Canary dubbed their therapy room, she took her seat and waited for the hero/therapist to show up. She pulled out the phone the Justice League had bought for her, a Wayne Tech prototype, and opened up her texts. She noticed a new one from Zatanna, one of the few members of the team to actually talk to her like a normal person.

She read it and felt her heart flutter. She quickly texted back, confirming that she would be there just as Black Canary opened the door and walked inside. "Hello, Wanda. I'm sorry I'm late. Shall we begin?"

Wanda smiled. "Of course, its no problem."

Black Canary smiled back. "What has gotten you in such a good mood?"

Wanda blushed. "Uh...Zatanna asked me to meet her tonight."

Black Canary raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. Anyways, what did you want to talk about today?"

"I want to check in and see how you feel about the progress you feel you have made over the past couple of months meeting with me. So, how do you think have progressed?"

Wanda grinned. "I feel like I have more of a grip on reality, not a complete one, but I'm getting there. I also feel like I am slowly earning back the trust of the team. Robin still hates me, but that is understandable. I mean, I led him to his almost death. I also feel almost slightly okay-ish with the fact that Pietro was never real and that he was just a fabrication of the Light, created to control me and keep me in line. I may never fully come to terms with that, but I have come to terms with the fact that I will never come to terms with it."

Black Canary beamed. "Wanda, that's wonderful! I am so proud of you!"

Wanda bowed her head shyly. "Thank you."

"You have come such a far way, Wanda. I truly do mean that. I am very proud of who you are becoming. You should be proud."

"I am. And I know Pietro would be too, if he were real." Wanda smiled sadly. "But that is not healthy to rely on a fake twin's approval. My own is more than enough and damnit, I have earned my own approval."

"Yes, yes you have." Black Canary chuckled. "So, to repeat a question we asked you months ago. Who are you?"

Wanda smirked. "I am the Scarlet Witch. I am Wanda Maximoff. And I'll be damned if I let anyone take that away from me."

fin.
