Deep underground in an unmarked building, rows of super computers softly hummed as they calculated complex equations of theoretical physics and mathematics. A scientist sat at his desk under florescent lights, reading the outputs the machines computed.

That's odd. He thought to himself. Picking up the phone, he made a call to his supervisor.

"What do you want, Ueda?" A gruff voice answered.

"Sorry to bother you Dr. Mori but you need to come down here. The cube is acting up."

"Acting how? It does that."

"You don't understand, these numbers-"

"Dr. Ueda, I have been monitoring that glowing hunk of junk for FIVE years. Nothing is going to happen, now quit calling me."

"But sir-" The line went flat. Dr. Ueda placed the phone back on the receiver. Still worried, he walks over to the window where the cube was sitting. It was surrounded by sensors contained in a radiation proof room. Dr. Ueda closed his eyes and concentrated, not even with his super-intelligence quirk could he make sense of the Tesseract. It defied everything we know about science and the nature of the universe and despite studying it for two years on top of reading countless classified scientific journals about the cube, he had nothing to show for it.

He narrowed his eyes, it's as if the Tesseract has a mind of its own. What felt like hours lost in his own thoughts, a jarring alarm tore into his senses.

"Oh shit!" He yells, rushing back to his desk. Computers are spitting out sheets and sheets of numbers, his phone blinking red with people trying to reach him. Sweat forms on his brow as he attempts to initiate the evacuation and shut off sequence but it was too late.

The last thing he saw was a bright blue light that spread up and outward like wildfire.

Above ground an unsuspecting girl walks on her way to school when the pavement beneath her begins to shake. A blast of blue light breaks through the cracks of the concrete, sending her flying into the air. The blue light absorbs into her as she crashes onto the ground with a hard thud, laying there unconscious as pure energy dances along her skin as if it were electricity.
