The first thing you decided to do when the plane was stable in the air was catch some z's. When you arrived to Antarctica, you wanted to be well-rested and energetic to meet your family. Not the other way around and have no energy for them.
Even though the trip there would take pretty much a full day there was still really only three things you could do. Read, draw, and sleep. Or four things to do if you counted bugging your dad for details. You would do that later though, as his nerves were still higher in the sky than you were right now.
The cabin was rather quiet So you took out your phone, yes it was on airplane mode and plugged your earbuds in. You went to your playlists and when to the ambiance section. Finding some snowy arctic ambiance music to listen to to help you fall asleep.
You don't know why, but that type of music had always helped you with just about everything. Be it studying, drawing or trying to fall asleep. It was also good music to just zone out with too, just let your imagination run wild while the music helped shape paint things in your brain.
You loved all kinds of it. It helped though when you listened to certain themed ones when you were doing specific things. Drawing a cactus? Desert ambiance helps with that all the way through!
You figured that since you were going to Antarctica than a Winter like Ambiance would be perfect while you took the super long trip that would probably drive you crazy with boredom in no time.
You took one last look at your father who was sitting right next to you. He had his reading glasses on and his nose was buried in some kind of book of his own. You decided not to tear him away from it at the moment so you shifted around and took a look out of the window.
Since you had just taken off you were still over land, so you just watched the green landscape go by for a couple of minutes. Letting the scenery and the music help drift you off.
The height of the plane made you rather nervous, but again, the music helped keep that off of your mind. Once you had gotten quite a bit sleepy you sat up a little bit and wriggled out of your coat.
The cabin was not that cold so it did not bother you too much when you took it off. There was a slight nip of chill on your skin, but nothing more.
You squished it up into a bundle and put it to the side on your left so you could lay your head down and watch through the window at the same time.
Right as you were drifting off you felt your hand tuck a strand of hair behind your ear so it was out of your face. You gave a little smile before your mind shut off and you were drifting in a dream.
It was not really much different than regular dreams you would have. You often had really random and super confusing dreams, so this one was no surprise for you.
You dreamed of landing in Antarctica. Getting off of the plane and meeting your Uncle and cousin. Then you dreamed about putting on snow gear with your Cousin, going out into a blizzard to save a stranded Penguin.
When you and your Cousin returned the penguin to his parents they thanked you and gave you fish. However, the Penguin king did not like you and made a deal with the leader of the Orca's to swallow you up when he pushed the two of you in the water.
When he ate you, the two of you found yourselves in a cavernous stomach like in the cartoons. You made a fire and huddled around it in the Orca's belly.
You remembered plotting with your cousin on how you were going to get out of the Orca when you woke up. You blinked your wide eyes a couple of times as you processed what the heck you just dreamed of.
