The past few years have been a bit tougher for Y/N. With no one to turn to when she has problems, she just closed off from almost everyone. She let all her anger and stress out on her bedroom walls. They're completely beaten up from the multiple punches given.
In her spare time, Y/N teaches herself martial arts. She didn't know why, really, but she thought it would be important later on. It was hard at first, with not having a proper teacher, but she found ways to learn.
In a way, it reminded her of Jay. As years go on her hopes of seeing him are disappearing slowly.
The glint of the robot parrot catches Y/N's eye. She turns to the bird, with a sad smile on her face.
"I wonder if I'll actually see you again.." she asks herself. Today is a Saturday, meaning no school. Y/N has already finished her work, so that's done. Of course her parents went off to work. She didn't feel like attacking her things at the moment, so the only thing she can think of doing is daydreaming.
So she falls backwards on her bed, staring at the ceiling and letting her mind wander off. Small tunes and phrases slip out of her mouth every once in a while, and together they create a song.
"Tell me, you'll see me one day.
Stick together, you always say.
But where have you gone,
The memories slip away.
Never again will you see,
Don't trust, don't trust in me.
Everyone gets hurt,
When you put that trust in me."Y/N sighs. "What did I just sing?"
She moves over to her mechanical bird and for the first time in a while, turns it on. It isn't nearly as lively as before. But regardless, it still functions well.
The girl wonders why she hasn't visited Ed and Edna yet. The two are pretty much family to her, and she hasn't said hello to them in at least a year.
Then she remembers, she's nowhere near them anymore. Y/N never enjoyed living in Ninjago City. Everyday is filled with cars zooming past, occasional construction, overheard conversations.
She misses living in a near abandoned area. It felt more like home back where she lived before. But when your dad gets a new -and much better job-, it's quite obvious they'd move into the city.
Now Y/N's dad doesn't get home by 10:30 PM. Because they're in the city, her mother had decided to get a new job herself. She now doesn't finish until 10:00 PM.
More time for Y/N to be stuck alone.
The bird continues to weakly fly around the room, before it drops to the ground with a loud thud. Y/N jumps back in surprise, and cautiously walks towards the bird. She picks it up, and examines it.
"Hmm. Battery's probably dead," she says to herself.
It's only 6:20 right now. Y/N changes into simple clothing and grabs her keys off her desk, heading outside.
She has no idea where she's going, but wherever her legs take her, that's where she's heading.
Y/N remembers doing the exact same thing before. Except with company and it was much more quiet. She walks past all the busy stores in the city, checking out all the streets, all the shops, all the signs. Y/N even takes note of some people walking by.
There's a mini stationary shop down the road that you go to very often. You have the tendency to lose your stationary a lot so usually you'd go there every week to buy new pens, pencils, erasers, sometimes books if your current ones are already full. Notebooks, you bought a folder once..
The list goes on for quite a while.
But why not make a quick visit there? It went up to the point where the shopkeeper, Mrs. Palmer, knows you pretty well from your frequent visits. You've never stopped by just to say hello, so this can be your first.
The small bell rings as you open the shop's door and walk in. Mrs. Palmer greets you with a warm smile.
"Well, good evening Y/N. Need more pens?" She laughs. Y/N grins, "no, actually. Just stopped by to say hi. How are you?"
"Oh, that's very thoughtful dear. I'm doing very fine. Say, do you mind helping me to restock some items?"
Y/N nods and Mrs. Palmer hands her a box of pens. She mindlessly walks over to their respective area and begins placing all the pens down.

Mrs. Palmer looks at the clock. It's 8:00, the time she closes her shop. By this time Y/N has fully put away all the pens and books she was given.
"Thank you so much for your help," Mrs. Palmer thanks her. "You should get home now, before it gets too late."
"Alright, thanks Mrs. Palmer!" Y/N waves at her and heads out the door.
Since it's only 8:00, Y/N decides to walk around the city streets for a bit longer.
Not the best idea for a 17 year old at night..
But none of that is on her mind right now, she just wants to be anywhere but her house. She checks her pocket for her keys, and they're still in there.
"Where else would they be?" Y/N asks herself, no one would steal them, right?
Then she remembers the continuous people who tried to take over Ninjago. This thought also reminded her of the six ninja who keep saving this place's butt all the time.
If people have the guts to do that then of course some random dude would mercilessly steal your keys.
It reminded Y/N of Jay. Wouldn't that be cool if he were part of that team.
This triggered so many more distant memories of the ninja. Didn't people obsess over them at one point?
They seem like such good friends. If Jay is part of that team, no doubt he's most likely replaced her.
This thought causes the girl to hang her head and slow down her walking pace.
Oh, the things she'd do to see Jay at least once.
Y/N finds herself in a park and sits down on a bench. She looks up at the moon with an odd comfortable feeling arising in herself.
Huh, weird.
Yet this always happened. And she never knew why.
Y/N glanced at her watch, reading 9:37. Okay, that gives her enough time to-
"MMPPH!!"
A pair of large hands wrap around Y/N's mouth. She panics, looking around as best as she can.
Her plan to lick this stranger's hand fails as they don't budge.
In a moment of fear, Y/N's hands light up with a bright glow. A few seconds later, the light diminishes as the hands around Y/N's mouth are taken away.
Y/N peers behind her, seeing a black ninja holding down a man who supposedly tried to do something to her.
"What do you think you're doing to the girl?" The ninja asks with anger in his voice. The man cowers once let go of and runs away from the two.
The ninja looks at Y/N for a bit. Although the only light source is the moon and a few lamp posts, he recognizes the girl in front of him
"You look a lot like someone Jay mentioned.." he mutters out in curiosity. Y/N perks up at the sound of Jay's name.
"Did you just sa-" she turns to look at him, but no one is there.
"..oh.."
With a sigh, Y/N gets up and heads back home.
If that person knows who and where Jay is, she needs to find him again.
