"Nya, I want you and Y/N to spar. Don't hold back, use both your power and weapon.
Y/N, focus on your own power, let the spirit of the moon guide you to your potential. Think about those attached to the moon." Master Wu explains.
"Like a wolf howling at night!" Jay pipes in.
"Or maybe the darkness?" Kai adds.
"Perhaps stars would relate to the subject??" Zane yells from the kitchen.
"The bright glow of the moon," Lloyd puts in.
Y/N keeps these thoughts in mind, and tries to create that bright orb again. Nya runs towards the girl, pulling out her spear and not hesitating to attack. Y/N dodges her attacks as best as she can, but doing so while trying to form a ball of light is hard.
The fact that the ninja were first acting like she wasn't needed, and now they're treating her like a friend just confuses Y/N. How and why would they change overnight?
Did Lloyd tell them about their short conversation?
Does that mean there's a chance they're faking this, what, friendship?
The two questions catch her off guard and allow Nya to swiftly knock Y/N over. She stumbles back but falls backwards onto the floor once Nya's spear is held against her neck.
"Distractions will not benefit. Try again, but this time, don't let any other questions cross your mind. Once your mind is set on what you desire, you will not stop till you achieve it." Master Wu says to Y/N. She gives him a small nod and gets back up, erasing the thoughts from her mind.
Just think about moon related things or whatever, Y/N. Don't let anything else distract you. Everything distracts you though, literally the thought of distractions is distracting y- agh! Shut up!!
Nya once again uses her spear and launches all sorts of attacks. Y/N focuses on the control of the moon in her grasp. She runs straight past the water ninja, ducking low to avoid her hits. She turns around and just like that, the orb grows in Y/N's hands
It isn't near as bright as before, but at least she..sort of figured out how to work it. A part of her mind is informing her not to shoot this ball of mysterious light, as it could damage another one of their walls, hurt her "team".
Then the other part of her mind is telling her "who cares about them? Are they even your team yet?" She know they're going to become her teammates at some point, but some point is nowhere near now in Y/N's eyes.
Her stance and expression soften as they all watch the bright light wisp away with the weak blow of the passing wind.
"Aww what happened N/N?" Jay asks, wondering what happened to have his friend suddenly stop.
Wu remains with a blank face. "When using your power you want nothing else swaying your mind of any sort. It will throw both you and your element off. I will give to time to practice this." He strides inside the Bounty, leaving his students clueless on the deck.
Cole walks in with a bright smile on his face, trying his best to ignore the broken pieces in the way. "So guys, what're we doing today?"
"Well I would recommend eating breakfast to give us energy to last the day," Zane suggests, as he informs everyone that he's finished cooking.
The ninja gladly accept the offer, but Y/N chooses to stay back and practice her power.
Kai turns around and watches Y/N briefly. "You coming?" He asks, to receive a plain "no" from her.
