Can you imagine what would happen if we could have any dream?
It was a weird question to ask but it was the question that Toby asked his girlfriend of a year, Spencer, when they were cuddled up on the red chair in her room on a sunny afternoon. Spencer looked up at him curiously, wondering where this was going. He looked into her chocolate eyes and answered his own question.

I'd wish this moment was ours to own it and that it would never leave.
He said, still looking deeply into her eyes and gently stroking her hair. Spencer smiled. One of her favourite things about Toby is that he spontaneously came up with the sweetest things sometimes. She moved so she was sitting up properly with her legs hanging over his lap and she stroked the hair on the nape of his neck before replying:

Then I would thank that star that made that wish come true
She said simply.
Cuz he knows that where you are is where I should be too.
She continued, gently moving her hand to stroke his cheek and pull herself closer to him, if that was possible. And it was true. Spencer felt at her safest when she was with Toby. When it was just the two of them it felt like everything else in the world just froze and anything that happened outside of where they were was unimportant. Spencer had known when she got into a relationship with Toby aged 16 that it maybe wasn't the best decision. After all, it would probably end in inevitable heartbreak. Now she had a completely different outlook: Now they were both sure that it didn't matter where they were, as long as they had each other, everything was going to be okay.

Right here, right now
I'm looking at you and my heart loves the view cuz you mean everything
Toby whispered into her hair and Spencer felt his grip on her gently tighten. She relaxed into him, her entire world. She couldn't believe how lucky she was to have him.

Right here, I promise you somehow
Tomorrow can wait for some other day to be
Cuz right now it's you and me.
And it could. Tomorrow and next week and next month would wait for them. But right this second, the world had stopped and the only people in it were Spencer and Toby.

If this was forever,
What could be better?
Asked Spencer. As long as she had Toby she would never imagine herself being unhappy with life.

We already proved it was
But in 2, 123 hours
Blend in the universe
Toby replied, making Spencer giggle with his completely made up numbers. But she knew he was right about one thing, they had already proved that they were doing to be in this for life. No matter what.

So lets make the our
Second last, make it last.
Who knew what was going to happen next? High school was such a tiny part of what their lives were going to be and neither of them knew what was going to happen when those caps were thrown. Both of them knew they had to savour every second together while they could because next year they could be living hundreds of miles apart. And they did. Well, as much as they could. Of course neither of them enjoyed it when they had arguments or fights or when they saw the other be overwhelmed by school or home life but even those moments helped them to see that they were so grateful for each other, no matter what.

Right here, I promise you somehow
Tomorrow can wait for some other day to be
Cuz right now it's you and me.
Tomorrow and next week and next year didn't matter anymore. In that moment it was Spencer and Toby in their little bubble and as long as they were together, nothing on the outside would matter anymore.

A/N: like any child growing up in the 2000s I had a massive high school musical phase which I am currently reliving so enjoy this tune from the third movie (which is the best no question).
