She was literally in peace.
The glimmering golden traces along the pillars of Olympus was more satisfying than anything Annabeth had seen. She looked at her ongoing masterpiece again and smiled at what she had accomplished.
"Annabeth,"
Annabeth turned around and found her mother staring longingly at the pillars along the paths leading to the house of the gods. "Mom."
"It's beautiful, you know?"
"I don't know, but I'm trying my best," Annabeth said solemnly. She untied her hair and tied it back again, trying to tame her honey-blonde curls to look more presentable in front of her mother.
The goddess, Athena placed her palm on Annabeth's shoulder in reassurance that her daughter was indeed doing a great job, designing the new Olympus. "It's time to go back, the next time you're here, we can perhaps dine together."
"Mom, I'm not sure," Annabeth insisted, "you know, you'll become more mortal like, isn't that why all gods distant themselves from their children?"
"See you," Athena said.
Annabeth found herself back in Camp Half-Blood at an instant. And it was only then that Annabeth remembered that this very day, was the day they play capture the flag. Annabeth supposed that it would be interesting since she had pretty much been supervising Titania, the new demigod since she arrived at the camp a week ago.
Titania had been learning Greek from Annabeth whenever Annabeth was not in Olympus, learning how to fight from Nico, and Hazel, whenever she was around. Nico had tried his best to teach Titania, but it doesn't seem like she was the type of fighting person, and neither does she seem like the archery type of person, but at least it was the only thing she seemed good at.
Even though it was not exactly that popular for everyone trying to place a bet on who was Titania's godly parent, but since after the war, the gods were kindly requested by Percy to stop neglecting their children and stop being the absent parental figures that they had been since eons ago, and that only the Seven, Nico, Reyna, Rachel Dare, Chiron, Mr D, Connor Stoll, and pretty much everyone who bothered to ask were involved in the bet.
Most bets were on Titania as the daughter of Demeter, but Annabeth noticed that Titania stayed away from as many plants as she could, constantly claiming that she grew up in the city, and was not a plant person. Annabeth agreed when Titania asked if she had to walk around in patches of grass and live in cabins for the rest of her days as a demigod.
Annabeth strolled back to the Athena cabin. It was nearly time. Each day, Annabeth had planned to ambush the opposing team each Friday and see them fail in capture the flag because it's the Athena cabin, anyone could understand that no one, absolutely no one could win the Athena cabin in a strategy game.
"Annabeth!"
Annabeth turned to find Nico trialling behind her, "Hello."
"You're going the wrong way, the game is nearly starting, it's the Athena, Apollo, Demeter and Hades cabin against the rest." He announced.
"Titania?"
"She's contemplating" Nico answered. Annabeth looked at him in confusion, Nico explained, "Contemplating on if she should join a brutal game of capture the flag with weapons and people she can't handle or burning her arm off so she could be excused from the game."
"What had she settled on?" Annabeth asked.
"Burning her arm off." Nico answered, "I'm not sure, I think she's just going to hide somewhere."
