Kongpob opened his eyes slowly feeling a stinging pain in his right hand. He opened his eyes, flickering his eyelids as he adjusted with the bright light entering his eyes.
Kongpob hissed as he rubbed his eyes, his head was aching and flashes of the incident before he lost his consciousness came into his mind.
Kongpob looked at his side to see a familiar figure injecting on his hand. He looked at the ceiling and sighed as he realized that he was in the hospital.
"P'Pha..." Kongpob called when the man sensed his movements.
"Oh, you're awake. How are you Mr. Kongpob Suttilak?"
Kongpob looked away in guilt as he heard the man's mocking tone. That's when he noticed the people inside the room. His eyes widened at the cold stares that were directed towards him.
"Kongpob, how many times should I say that you have to come for the checkups? This is what you get when you don't listen to your doctor," Phana glared at his patient as he watched Kongpob who sat up on the bed, his head hung low.
"I'm sorry," Kongpob mumbled.
"Don't sorry me, Kong. Do you know how much your friends were worried about you?" Phana pointed at the group of friends who were standing like a statue.
"Kongpob, you can't delay your treatment. You'll lose your life. Please listen to me," Phana pleaded to Kongpob.
"P'Pha, you know I can't do that. I don't have enough money! Sam has to go to school, I have to pay rent for my house and also his treatment. I can't afford so much P, I -" Kongpob's word died down in shock as he heard Arthit shout.
"Stop this nonsense, Kongpob Suttilak! Then what are your friends for! Don't think that no one care for you Kong! We all care for you! We all love you, Kong! If not for others, I will take care of you! I'll help you! I care for you, Kongpob!"
Kongpob looked at his senior with wide eyes. Guilt washed over him, his hands started to tremble.
"I didn't want to bother you with my troubles," Kongpob averted his eyes from the piercing gaze of his senior.
"Do you know how scared I was seeing you unconscious with blood dripping from your nose!? Do you know how much it hurt me knowing the person I love was dying!" Arthit screamed.
Kongpob looked at his senior when a sniffle was heard. Arthit had tears dripping from his eyes and Kongpob couldn't handle the sight. He saw Arthit wipe the tears angrily and storm out of the room.
"Kongpob, we care for you. You're like our own brother. Whatever it is we are there for you, Kong," Tootah said as he walked towards his junior.
"Don't mind him, he'll come back. He's just too shocked," Bright said softly as he noticed Kongpob's eyes darting towards the door.
Kongpob sighed and nodded his head.
"How much did you all know?" Kongpob asked Tootah who sat beside him on the bed.
"They know everything, Kong. I told them. You're alone on this road and you need someone to accompany you with. Sam isn't old enough for that duty. Your friends are amazing Kong, they love you so much," Phana said to Kongpob who smiled at him.
"We'll be here for you, Kongpob. Always," Maprang came forward and smiled at her friend.
"Thank you so much, guys. I - I don't know what to say," Kongpob's eyes filled up with tears, but he held it in not wanting to show his weak side to his friends.
