Shock Troopers

Chapter 4

(28th January 2020. Truth and Consequences. Frost PoV.)

"The Gunfire came from here." Eliza said as she led us through to where the asteroid landed, it was in the middle of the Hospital building we were in. We walked up towards the door and noticed that there were many dead Infected that we didn't kill.

"Are there any reported NATO teams here?" I asked, "No, we are the only ones in the quarantined site." Eliza explained. That's when I heard a voice, we all did.

"Who are you?" he asked, "We are Team Rainbow, we have been sent to sort this mess out." Jordan replied, slightly irritated. "Who the fuck are you?" he asked.

"I am not important right now. What's the situation?" The voice asked, "Can't you tell, the parasite has made a return and we are here to sort it out again." Jordan said, increasing in anger. "I would calm down you Texan bastard." The voice said back, "I'm sorry about cutting this meeting short, but I best be off. I don't want to run into anymore inhabitants of this place, those humanoids creep me out and are quite dangerous. Safe Travels Team Rainbow." He said before we heard some walking in the corridor. We rushed there and didn't see anyone.

"Ce que la merde était? (What in the shit was that?)" I asked, "I don't know Frost, Aucune idée. (No Idea)" Doc responded.

(Time Skip, Zeta PoV)

I have been here for a day. Found a safe space to stay at during this.... Outbreak. I was looking out of the window when I saw something smash into the earth. I rushed over to the location when I saw it was an ODST Drop Pod. "[Hell Jumper, Identify yourself.]" I Ordered. "[Zeta? Is that you?]" I heard through the Comms. "[Omega? You survived that shit?]" I chuckled, ripping the metal panel off. We hugged each other quickly when I heard some foot-steps. I pulled my magnum out and aimed and saw a team of 5, they looked human, not like the Humanoids I saw.

"STAND DOWN. PUT THE WEAPON DOWN NOW." The red-headed one shouted, "[Omega? You have the invisible Armour Ability?]" I asked, she nodded. "[Use it.]" I ordered, bringing a blue shield and Hardlight in front of me, and my sister went invisible. The others started shooting me but the bullets simply bounced off the shield. I quickly disengaged the shield, seeing the small blue circle refill on my HUD. I took cover and started finding my escape route.

I ran towards a building, since it was quite dark and my armour was pretty dark I managed to escape unscathed. I met up with my sister at a different location.

"So Sis, it's been a day since we dropped onto the ARK, however I do not believe we are on the ARK." I explained, "How, that's not possible. We dropped about 10 minutes ago." Alice said, not believing me. "Sis, I've been here for a day, I know that. And your Pod just dropped. However we need to get out of this Quarantine Zone. It's like a prison being here, and they will eventually find us." I explained, she nodded. I brought out my Tablet where I had an escape route mapped out. I showed it to my sister and she agreed that this will work, however we had to do it when it was Darker.

We waited for an hour, me catching my sister up on what happened when I landed. Once we noticed it was darker we decided to make our way out of the Quarantine Zone. We got to the guard wall and started climbing. It was the only way out and this is the least protected area of the Site. we got onto the top when we heard an alarm blare out.

"[ROACHES IN SECTOR B5, ALL PERSONNEL IN SECTOR B GET TO SECTOR B5 AND HOLD THE ATTACK OFF.]" I instantly recognised the voice of the Texan. "Should we help?" I asked Alice, "Yeah, let's head over there and help them clear, but escape after we do." She agreed, we made our way over to Sector B5, me seeing a good advantage point. I moved my way up towards the Advantage point and set up my sniper, when I heard a Russian come up behind me, he set up a sniper too and started sniping the infected. So I didn't bother that he didn't know me as I shot the Stanchion Rifle.
