Chapter 14: The End - Part 1

(3rd Person)

As the war with the Banished raged on, 21st century Earth and one Support Vessel that was almost a century out of date vs the very advanced and Brutal Aliens bastards, Captain Cutter and Y/n kep Planning. The raids the Banished were conducting were precise but desperate. It appears, that even though the UNSC Spirit of Fire is here there is something on the other side of that Portal that is ruthless. It was Draining the Banished supplies faster than they could recoup them.

Whatever it was, and whatever was happening, helped the Humans defend the Earth. As the Banished seemed to be fighting a two-pronged attack at all times. But Earth wasn't free from Danger yet.

As the Banished hit another location, a steel mine in Africa, they found a Seed ship that was capable of opening the Portal to the Ark, this dimensions Ark. Unravaged from the time of the old war between the UNSC and Covenant. All the supplies the Banished could ever want, and a Deadmans switch over the entre Galaxy. But before they could ever utilise it, they needed to see if that portal were even still here. If the Ark still existed.

They would never get the Chance. As this was now the time to strike. The UNSC had been planning this for a few Months now, and with the Banished finding a Seed Ship there was no time like the present. Their three main HQs were almost defenceless as the Humans kept up their attacks.

They devised to split up into three teams. One, the UNSC. They will be going to where the seed ship is now Located. Southern Africa, stage 0 of the Banished attack.

Two, The Combined forces of Earth, CFE for short, would attack the one in America, where the Banished took over Nevada and turned it into an Impenetrable fortress.

And thirdly, The final base, and the easiest one to Take down, was to be tackled by Rainbow. Rainbows numbers were close to a hundred souls ready to lay down their life for the chance of freedom. They had turned from a simple counter terrorist task force to an extraterrestrial Defence Force. Through the rough training the UNSC had put the Earths Military through they were as ready as they could possibly be.

As the UNSC got closer to the Banished front line, they signalled the attack to start. Mechanised Units in the Mantis and Colossus Rushed forwards to take out the heavy armour as the Scorpions and Warthogs rolled around the side, attempting a simple pincer attack. Keep the Banished defence split whilst they rushed forward was always supposed to be a Distraction. They would think that they were the main force.

They were mistaken.

(Zeta PoV)

"Hell jumpers! Its time!" I shouted over the bustling launch bay. ODSTs from every company moved around with a purpose. Getting their Supplies ready, weapons of choice stocked and locked in their pods, then gathering around the war table. I stood by the table as Isobel appeared and started loading the map of the Region, showing our current forces attack.

"The Ground Forces have already started, distracting them was only the first step. It is our time to shine now." i smiled as grabbed my Helmet. "We are to land Directly behind enemy lines, like usual, and roll on over the wall. If everything goes to plan, then they will not know what hit them till it is too late. Our focus is the reactor. They have got all their bases running on a, normally, cruiser Reactor. With it being on the ground its Containment field is highly susceptible to a Mac Strike, and that was the original Plan. But after the Seed Ship was located, that plans changed. All bases are now being raided in case of Forerunner artifacts. One they have been captured; we move to Asset Destruction."

I put my helmet on as the War table zoomed in on Strike Zone 1, "Boomerang, You'll be going down first. The seed ship will be closest to you, you are Advised to smash and Grab. Get it out of there as fast as possible. You'll have Isobel on this attack with Spartan-092." Said Spartan made his presence known at this point as his Spartan laser finished its final Diagnostic run and closed up. Allowing him to place it in the spare pod Next to boomerang.
