Opening night of your first world tour. The adrenaline pumped through your veins as you started your last song of the night, It's Not The Same Anymore. It's very obviously about your ex girlfriend Demi. You two dated for two years before you got bad mentally and slipped back into your old ways. You picked the notes on your guitar,

"No! I'm fine Demi! I swear!" She shook her head and walked towards you. You just got back from partying and Demi could tell you were high. "No you're not, and until you can fix yourself I need to leave. This isn't working anymore." Just like that your life was flipped.

"I'll keep the pictures saved in a safe place
Wow, I look so weird here
My face has changed now
It's a big shame
So many feelings, struggling to leave my mouth
And it's not that rare for me to let myself down
In a big way
But I had enough time and I found enough reason to accept that"

You sang your heart out and let the pain take over. You missed her so god damn much. You wish you could have her back, but she's moved on. You would never call yours anymore.

"You need help. You need to get it together. I can't help you anymore. I love you, I always will." You read her text 200 times a day for the past week since she's left. Maybe she's right, I need help. You picked up your phone and called a treatment center.

"I kept the feelings inside
I open up when shit gets built up this high
She makes it easy to cry
The words fall out of me and there's no more disguise"

Demi watched you sing your pain away from the VIP section and cried. She knew it was about you and it was beautiful, the violins, the words, the tone. She loved it, she loved you still but would never till anyone. Taking a video of the last bridge and posting it to her insta story tagging you, "So glad to see you smiling and on stage. Love you forever. Keep working hard💚🌄"

"I miss the days when I was someone else
I used to be so hungry
Right now, my stomach's full as hell
And I've spent many months just hating on myself
I can't keep wishing things will be different
Or leaving problems on the shelf
I wish I didn't need to get help
But I do
But I do
Oh-oh-oh" You finished the song and bowed your head taking a moment before you started the next song. Letting the memories of her slip away.

You had a break for 5 minutes for vocal rest and stress relief before completing your show. Right now another was act was performing. Opening your phone as you plopped down on your dressing room couch, your heart stopped as you read the notification, "ddlovato mentioned you on their story" Swiping the notification you waited for it to load. She was here. At your show. Watching you perform that song, for her. You started shaking and thinking all the endings out, you have to see her. "Yo Morgan! Come here!" Your manager came running in looking worried, "WHAT?!" You giggled letting a tear slip, "She's here tonight, find her. Bring her to me after the show, but for now, the show must go on." You stood up and took one last look in the mirror.

Demi was enjoying the sound of your giggle as your performed Copycat. She couldn't lie, she missed you, and you singing her to sleep. She felt a tap on her shoulder and turned to see Morgan holding a backstage pass, "It's the last song after this, bring your friends and come with me." Grabbing Matt she followed Morg. Hearing the first notes of You Dont Know You star and laughed because no one knows she wrote it for Victorious. Walking through your dressing room door Matt kept with Morgan and left you alone. She checked her appearance in the mirror and could hear you belt your heart out. A few minutes later she heard you say your closing prayer and the door handle jiggle you appearing a few seconds later, sweaty and smiling. She ran to you and engulfed you in a hug, you two stayed this way, her arms around your waist, yours around her neck, for a few minutes. "Holy shit. I missed you." You can tell she was crying and you hugged her tighter. "Can we talk." You two sat on the couch a few inches away from other and she grabbed your hand from instinct quickly dropping it only for you to grab hers. "You look si much better, you look happy, healthy. You're glowing again." You smiled at her, "Yeah I'm 11 months sober until midnight tonight." You giggled as she engulfed you in another hug. "Demi." You breathed out, she looked at your face and stared into your eyes. "Mhm?" You grabbed her lower back pulling her close, "Kiss me." She slowly leaned in pausing a few centimeters from your lips letting the tension build before you smashed your lips on hers. Fireworks went off as your lips moved together until you ran out of breath. "I missed that so much. No one kisses me like you." She said as she rested her forehead on yours. Pulling away you stood up leaving her confused, "I forgot. You're engaged, you shouldn't be here." She slipped the ring off setting it on the coffee table, "Fuck him." She stood up grabbing your waist to face her and kissed you. You were taken aback so it took a second before you rested your hands on her cheeks. You melted into her lips and smiled into the kiss. It wasn't the same anymore, it was so much better.

You came back from the bathroom to find Demi asleep on the couch engagement ring in the same spot as she left it. "Babygirl come on let's get you home." You helped her up and left the room. Ring still there.
