Human liberty has always been the fear of those in power.

Speech, the pencil, the printing press, radio and now the computer; all have taken their turn as public enemy #1.

Each in turn have been tamed, domesticated and reverse engineered to further limit the very thing they promised.

Will the internet finally succeed where all others have failed?

The rub? It already has but we are not its master.

As our screen time increases we are being increasingly understood; programs and games being presented to us that mould our individuality

Until the point where we gladly offer it for some likes and a few stars.

Our fear in ancient times was that government and big business would find ways to watch our every move and with such knowledge, thwart our organizing and take away our choice.

George Orwell would have been ashamed,

Big Brother doesn't need to watch us anymore. We log in an surrender our freedom willingly.
