"Come on, wake up everyone! Time for school!"

I open my eyes tirelessly. Caused by last night events, making me not getting much sleep. Getting out of my bed, I quickly got dressed. Since I'm not going to school today, I'm going to put on shorts instead pants.

"Y/n are you alright? You seem down." My gaze landed on Amie, but soon return to the dresser mirror as I brush my hair.

"Just got in trouble for being out late… so when were you going to tell me that you're leaving soon?" I said it a little to bitterly. This caught me by surprise when I wasn't that mad. Amie look away.

"I was going to tell you today, but- wait how did you know?"

"When I was being chewed out yesterday, they accidently revealed it to me. So when are you leaving?"

"Oh… tomorrow, right after school. It's just my aunt just recently got approved to be my guardian and I'll be still in New Ninjago City. Not to mention still be going to school… are you mad?" I took a moment before answering, shaking my head.

"Of course not, you're still my friend.I'm just a little disappointed. If I have time later today, we'll sneak out and go into the city for our last night together."

"Really?"

"Yeah, really! Now go, you'll miss the bus." Amie nods and left the room as I finished putting my hair in a high ponytail. Exiting my room I head to the dining room. I help the caretakers with the plates and cups. With an armful of dishes I went to the kitchen and began to wash. 'A day filled with chores has begun.'

Five hours had passed, FIVE hours! Not a moment ago, I was finally done with my chores and now I'm at the grocery store. One of the caretakers wanted me to help her with the groceries. I don't know what's her name nor the others. I stop paying attention to them years ago.

"Wait here, and grab some fruit that's in the list. I'll be getting the vegetables." She gave me a list. I nod in response as she turns and head to the veggies section of the produce aisle.

I got a little baggy and got some oranges. I tied the bag and repeat the process, but with the apples. I pushed the cart and went off to find the bananas. 'What a boring day.'

I look down the list. 'The only thing left is the strawberries.' I look around not seeing the berries. I walk around the cart in search of it. "Great, just great." I said quietly not noticing that the old man. Taking a few steps back, I accidentally bump into the old man.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there." I apologize. The old man chuckles. 'Something about him seems familiar.'

"No it's quite alright. I should've paid more attention." The old man rubs his long white beard as he said that. I couldn't help but notice he kept staring at my necklace.

"Umm, do you like my necklace?" I ask awkwardly. The feeling of embarrassment became stronger with each second.

"Hmm? Oh, sorry it just I knew somebody who had the exact necklace." His eyes gleamed with, actually I don't know with what. It was like he was planning something.

I chuckle awkwardly wanting to escape this conversation.

"Haha… what a coincidence. I should get-"

"Yes what a huge coincidence indeed, y/n." I froze. 'He knows my name!'

"H- how do you-"

"How do I know your name? Didn't I say, I knew somebody who had that exact necklace." He stretches out his right hand to me. "If you come with me, I'll tell you everything I know. That's if you really want to."
